those XLT's were smooth sleds, but certain years kept burning the middle piston... great lake riders. for a 4-stroke playtoy, i want the new phazer... sure its only 80horse, but lightweight and nimble...
Yep those sleds were everywhere and I think the 580's were better than the 600's. They all played the BEST music from the exhaust I know that!!! Those new Phazers are neat units and will be bring value and fun back to sledding in a day of 12K + for new sleds. Those and the Polaris Shifts...no decals, cheaper shocks, 600cc for $7000!
On out farm we go from harvest to sledding season, and its harvest now!!!
I find that the new Polaris and Cat are still a bit more traditional than the Skidoo and Yamaha. What I like on the Polaris and Cat is that you can still flip up the hood and have easy engine access as opposed to the Skidoo and Yamaha. A friend with a 'Doo had some exhaust springs come loose on the trail and it was almost impossible to find them and replace them out on the trail.
I sold my 2002 SummitX for $7000 and took a year off. Bought a 2007 Dragon RMK for $8500. That didnt work too badly! For the $5000 mark you can get some good technology, performance, and reliability.
