I made naked snow angels once it was -47 C and ran out of the sauna and into the snow what a shock to the system.

Lots of guys out there still do,and want to do the conversion, but it does cost a little bit, and takes a little bit of work. Lost of people dont wanna do that extra work.

I would like to try it just to do it, I like a challenge. In the end ya get a good straight 6 diesel in a ford truck too!

While no doubt the cummin are decent motors one of my customers from Radisson just spent $5,500 + on his motor in his 2000 pampered dodge for an injection pump/injectors etc.
This is on a babied non work truck with less than 90,000 original kms on it, too bad it`s off warranty and chrysler won`t help out in any way.
Another one of my customers from around Aberdeen has a 2006 dodge with a hesitation problem that they can`t find the cause of, the only way to get around it is too drive it real hard for about 30-40 kms, then it goes away for the time being.
cummins also has their share of problems too.

Oh yeah, its like any other engine out there, xcept maybe the 6 liter haha.

Its a good engine all in all though, they are one of the top companies for diesels, in alot of applications.

I always think of it this way, there are always guys wanting to do cummins conversions on their fords, or chev's, or into their old trucks.

Not many people do izuzu or navistar swaps into other trucks (although there are probably some)

Thanks for one more reminder about the 6.0 Sheldon....
For now I`ll stick with my 6.0 since the owners I`ve talked to have had decent enough luck with their 6.0.
I`m mostly concerned about the head bolts/gaskets since it would be nice to get a tuner. In the end we`ll see...........
We finally hit over 1,000 posts in one thread, another mile stone!

i have seen that problem before morris. usually its the throttle position sensor starting to go bad. did anyone scan it and check for codes?
check fuel pressure between the lift pump and the transfer[injection]pump?
a fuel leak will cause hard starting and hesitation.

Apparently the chrysler techs can`t find his problem but I haven`t talked to him in afew weeks. If the drivability gets much worse they`ll have to do something I`m sure.
