Not much Grant, the new spring perches and shock cross member are installed, can't do much more until I get the rear differential and I welded in the boxing plates for the front cross member. Can't weld that in yet because I don't know how high the **** end is going to be until I have it sitting on wheels. The front cross member needs to be welded in level front to back for the proper stance. I was planning on going to the wreckers today but there was a pile up on the highway east of Dryden and most of his crew are working on that leaving no one to remove the diff from the Explorer. Meanwhile he is supposed to send me some more vin numbers from some Rangers to see if any of them may have a limited slip and better gearing.
Aren't the Ranger diff's narrower? I know they came with the 7.5 and 8.8.

He only sent me 1 vin number and it has a 4 banger in it so probably only the 7.5, can't seem to find a gear ratio. Think I'm just going to go with the first one I looked at with the 3.73 gearing and discs from the 98 Explorer. I want to proceed with this project and can worry about getting a limited slip carrier later with the proper gearing.
Just got back from Archerwill after spending the weekend sledding. Man was it cold but we still managed to put 500kms on our sleds. The wife is very happy with her new sled she couldn't stop smiling. The snow conditions were excellent and the trails were great.
Yes Curtis I am on Totally Yamaha but has been awhile, not even sure what my user name is, I will have to check.
Morning Fellas. Grant, sorry to hear your bro is on dialysis. We should never take our health for granted!!
My wife should have her MRI results next week some time. She has an enlarged pituitary gland, doctors don't think its anything serious but wanted to cover the bases just in case. Her uncle passed away about 2 years ago at the age of 46 from a brain tumor, and her grandmother has had 2 operations in the past year for brain tumors. It never hurts to take precautions I guess.
Another skiff of snow last night. Looks to be around 2" or so.
Nice to hear you had a good sled ride Collin. I've realized that I'm done with sledding. The itch hardly comes any more.
Happy Tuesday mornin'all. Hope all goes well with your wife Sherm. My bro has been on dialysis for almost 15 yrs. He also has down's syndrome. He goes for 4 1/2 hrs/day 3 times a week. He loves going, it's a social outing for him. The staff treat him like Norm at Cheer's. Glad to hear you had a great sled holiday Colin. Nice on you being a Yamafan. We got freezing rain overnight. Not too bad out there, just have to be careful. Have a great day guy's.

Great to hear all had a blast and back safe and sound!!
Was out again yesterday. Did some sway bar on/off testing along with FX shocks. Buddy who bought my 07 is heading out right away and going to take him on a tour of Grand, PineFalls, LDB and back through Whitemouth!! Be back well after Dark I'm thinkin. See how he holds up
Had to put some old 07 shocks on until my new ones are fixed. Had a clunk since new. Searched and searched for it never thinking in 1000years it be shock bushing. Stumbled across it when pulling sway bar off mid Jan. Took them off at around 1000kms, rolled over 1600kms with the FX's back on!!
