whether it's locked, I don't know, but the tunes are not locked, per Matt.

Yes, you can--at least you can on the "canned" tunes, so Matt's unlocked tunes should have the same luxury.

Are the files different for manual trans? Can (or should) the files listed on the archive be used in manual trans trucks?

They should; the manual transmission calibrations are very slightly different but since there is no TCM module, there should be no drivabilty difference or performance difference. At the worst, there would be a passive module communication trouble code present in the PCM from it.
The reason I asked was that the VXCF0 had a huge disproportion of manual transmission calibrations; most ALL 2005 manual trans trucks came with one specific code, and I had planned on making that one available just due to the large number of trucks using it.

I have a problem with my X3 and the new tunes from spartan. I returned my truck to stock and tried to get the free to use files. Now I cant get any of the new files or the ones I had before back on the programmer. Please help.

I just saw your website and noticed the VXCFO files to your list,
are you saying these vxcfo are "custom tuned" for the manual transmissions?
My 2006 Automatic King Ranch F350 Crew Cab FX4 was an early order, made "job 2".
I guess the VXCFO was prominent for '05 builds.
