I'm sure those two extra drive wheels aren't really helping you either.

It's on his website and that probably adds to my mpg lose as well, but despite the pains at the pump(this to shall pass) I still love that ole girl, I just carpool now a little more.

I am still waiting as well. About 3 months now. I also need to get my stage two injectors in!
But im a patient guy. Doing 30+ tunes a night seems to be a burden. Good luck to all the fellas at Spartan Diesel!

24 MPG on the freeway! (cruise set at 70mph)

My average MPG's has jumped from 14.7 (old ASE tune) to 16.9, and it's still in

Was it worth the wait...

Most emphatically, YES!

OZX, As much as I would like to believe your 24mpg, I struggle to think it is possible. Have you done the calculation after an actual refill? If I cruise my truck, although I have a dually with mud terrains, I can get the lie o meeter to show 19mpg if I keep it around 70. I honestly think im getting more like 15 at best. No matter what tune I am running, whether it is the banks inline tuner, or the the Lie o meter with a flashed program, I NEVER get as good as the Lie O meter says....never.....If you can get 24, then maybe your truck getting stolen a while back was actually a blessing in disguise! Cheers ~Brad

It's not the lie-o-meter giving the feedback; it's my scangaugeII, and granted, it's a gauge giving an estimate. Nevertheless, the readings from the gauge over the last several tanks have been within 1mpg of hand calculated mileage. The MPG's started climbing progressively immediately after I installed the new ASE tune. The fuel gauge is move south more slowly too. I'm happy, but really--I'm still a little skeptical too... It's like the truck made a deal with the devil, and there's always a BIG price to pay for that.

As Jealous as I am of your kick *** mileage, I am stoked for you!!! Keep us updated from time to time as you continue to monitor the mileage. Also how your truck continues to run while you run the ASE. Party!!!! ~Brad

OK, all-

Still not a lot of miles racked-up, but the MPG's remain higher than before... Albeit not as high as 24 mpg on a regular basis (recalibrate the ScanGauge), my last 21 gallons of fuel took me 400 miles, or Just a tad over 19 mpg. My trip MPG's from home to work (1000' elevation loss) are 24. From work to home, closer to 17 (from the Pacific ocean to the San Diego foothills).

I'm on the freeway both ways so at least for the summer, I'll be doing better on fuel, and I'll

ozx3, I too have a scangauge, and it is always wrong. I consistantly have to adjust the number of gallons I take on in fuel, re-calibrating it every time I fill up. Also, every time I switch programs with my SCT X3, it throws of the Scangauge dramatically. I get 14-15 city, and can hit 20mpgs highway running the performance programs. I have tunes from spartan, and from Jody at DP. The economy programs from each, arn't any better than stock as far as mpgs, at least for me. The performance programs always give me better economy.

ozx, what factory flash do you have? I have one of the mid-'03 flashes, not the original, and power seems bad so I'm thinking of getting the latest flash in search of extra mpgs and getting some power back.
