I hadn't heard anything from them since Jan. But when I emailed Evan direct I got a response and got lucky- he had some tunes for my strategy and got them right out to me. Just a matter of days..... and months...lol.
I received my tunes also after 5 months and several emails to different addresses. The last 2 emails were to Evans box and he finally responded. The second one was in the last week. Havn't had a chance to try them yet with fuel prices the way they are and summertime here, I keep the truck filled and in the driveway and ride the scooter whenever I don't need to haul anything. I got a feeling the squeaky wheel gets the grease so it might not hurt to send an other email .
I sent 1 email to Evan, waited about 3 weeks and then sent a follow-up... 1 week later, a total of 4 week (not long at all) I received 3 new tune files, tweaked as requested. The Aggressive Street Economy tune that Evan rewrote for me is exactly what I was hoping for. The power curves higher in the range providing better, more predictable street drive-ability, but will still bust the tires lose anytime under 35MPH; shifting is perfect, almost intuitive; and then the real treat in these trying times... 24 MPG on the freeway! (cruise set at 70mph)
My average MPG's has jumped from 14.7 (old ASE tune) to 16.9, and it's still inchingup as I drive...
I wish I could get that, but unfortunately the best I have done(when I went to get my wagon a couple of weeks ago) was 16.2(going 70-71 mph) with my tow file. Previously I have only been getting 14.9 on a consistant basis. I'm hoping on my trip to Texas in August I'll get above that, but who knows.

I drive by the gauges... The ScanGaugeII provides immediate MPG numbers and engine load that help me keep my foot at the correct spot. Driving like this causes the truck to relearn (just like it'll learn to dump fuel), so I'm really getting dividends! The custom tune plus the intelligent system working together with my slightly modified driving style based on the feedback I get from the ScanGaugeII creates remarkable results.

Yea that would do it that's for sure. I had thought about the scangauge, I just don't have the room anymore, but I do already drive by the gauges that I do have so I'm sure I'm maxing out my mileage based on those(maybe could bounce it up with a scangauge, just don't know).

So I am just curious. What is your egt and boost when getting the best mpg? And what speed, rpm and gear are you in while getting the best mpg?

Boost < 10psi
EGT < 800 (if it's hot, my foot is in it)
MPH = I set the cruise for 70MPH because 65 has no benefit
Gear = top gear (5th or 6th on the TorqShift)

Gears? I'm willing to bet 3.73, maybe 4.10, but I doubt 4.30(if you have that I'm going to scream because your getting that mpg).
I'm willing to bet that's the biggest difference between you and I on this and that is what is keeping me from getting all that I can out of the ole girl.
Thanks for the feed back guys. Looks like that scan gauge is a valuable tool for economy. I usually use my egt and boost gauge as a load indicator. I keep them both as low as possible and a really light foot and only manage 15 mpg. But I am also burning B100 biodiesel.
