hi all,
thanx prep. but most of my family had farms in Nebraska,Iowa, missouri.
i remember spending a summer at my uncles farm in Beaver crossing, nebraska. feeding the live stock, detascling corn, bailing hay, weeding 10 acres of beans. he showed me how to drive a tractor that he had.i think i was about 11 or 12 years old at the time.
i've been out of the active duty army for 26 years. i have 2 step sons that are 21 years old. one in the U.S. Army as a cavalary scout, the other is going to ITT TECH. me i've been a mechanic for almost 30 years. i was a light wheel mechanic in the army/recovery/generators. and now i work at a transmission shop out here in Sandy. the only transmission shop in Sandy,Or. my job title is a transmission R&I TECHNICIAN. my personal job title is automotive/light/med/hd truck/ class 8 trucks and trailers/ stock cars
and my ranger. there isn't to many vehicles and or equipment that i haven't worked on and repaired. i'm not bragging by anybodys stretch of the imagination.
i guess my bottom line is! i'm a vetran and a mechanic from the old school!
and i would like to thank all the vetrans out there that served in the armed
forces no matter where your from or what country you live in. thank you for help keeping the world free!
Ive done alot of different stuff. Im a first year electricion (at least till i go for another year) Im a rathole driller, and I just started a backhoe company that im aquiring equipment for.
In the past I have done a ton of different jobs though!
Thats a hefty increase but wasnt the offer rejected???
Anyone who who has been sick and/or had a someone close to them sick really gains an appreciation for what they do!
I know the nurses did an incrediable job during Nancy`s hip replacement.
While so over worked they still just were totally awesome providing excellent round the clock care.

Spend time in the hospital when your very seriously ill or hurt and then see what your nurse is worth, it`s a very different world from what we normally know. I`d say they earn every cent and then some!
I wish other hard working groups could demand raises like that!
Im sure you fellas would love a 39 percent raise over 4 years, and have earned it!
Not saying they shouldnt get paid for how they work, but others should too
wow prep... what'd ya have for breakfast?? good posts this morning... i'm a believer in the "paid what you're worth" system. i know some nurses that aren't worth what they paid for their uniform, but also know some that are worth their weight in gold... and big girls too
