when i mat it. its like a lil cutting in and out. not like the motor cutting in and out, just the go-go. only sometimes. i think it may be from not having a strong enough spring in the fpr. i havent got that kit yet, so i have a make-shift kit.

its possible but hard to say, you need to eliminate the 2 new changes to rule them out, either get the fuel regulator fixed or pop the chip out to see if it goes away. what is the fuel pressure going down the road when it starts cutting in and out?

the banks 6 gun and the edge juice's are the 2 that i had the most dealings with at ford, they are a box that is basicly a stand alone processor that intercepts the pcm's signals before they reach the idm(7.3) or ficm(6.0) you simply disconnect the factory harness from the idm/ficm, and plug it into the banks/edge box, then take the supplied harness and go from the banks/edge box back to the idm/ficm. that takes care of the main set-up. then you also have some other wires to hook up from the box's kit. one harness replaces the stock map signal harness and there were a few others that i cant remember off the top of my head. but the way that these boxes are wired in they can be stacked with either a tuner or a physical chip. you do feel a huge difference in power but engine meltdown was usually the end result when the trucks returned on a hook.

oh, i almost forgot, the banks 6 gun can also be stacked from banks. yes, thats right, banks encourages stacking. you can get the banks 6 gun kit and then get what they call a speed loader. it is another smaller processor that gets wired under the dash and ties into the existing set-up they just sold you. then you stack the additinal chip ontop of the 2 already stacked chips from banks. it was a guranteed meltdown

it even does it with chip on stock, therefore i feel its the spring. i dont have a full-time fuel press gauge

Still could be the chip as the stock program is also housed in the chip.

if i set my bully dog to stock and leave it and install edge evo for a test run to see which is better. will that work? or would the bully dog have to be unplugged?

I wouldn't try it. I doubt it would hurt anything but I don't think it will work either. any chip placed in the slot of the PCM overrides any program in the PCM.

If he went from stock to a DP tuner or any chip for that matter there is something wrong.
