I like the look of these mirrors and think I might order a pair for my truck, plus they would be great when pulling the trailer and helping with blind spots.
<o></o>
The part numbers for them are (left) #7L3Z-17683-AE (right) #7L3Z-17682-AE
These are power, heat, turn, and puddle lamp.
<o></o>Right now I just have the plain mirrors no heat, turn or puddle.
<o></o>
Couple of questions-
<o></o>Would the wires be in the door to hook these options up?
<o></o>If not where would I find them?
<o></o>For the telescoping part would I need a new switch on the door and make the mirrors extend and retract?<o></o>
<o></o>Does the glass adjust by itself like the ones I have on now?<o></o>
I just ordered a set from http://www.tascafordparts.com/
They are manual extend with power adjust, heat, turn, and puddle lamps. The price just dropped on them so they are a good deal now. My 06 has everything but the puddle lamps on it, I don't know if your truck will have all the wiring for the other functions.
The wiring should be the same, except you would have to figure out the defrost feature if yours doesnt have it now. The telescope feature should be manual. I have the same mirrors factory installed, with the chrome caps. I don't tow anything at the moment, but the blind spot mirrors are excellent. The only thing that sucks is trying to fit in the atm lane. I have to fold it in or lose it.
They should fit without a problem. Yes, the manuals are more expensive, but I bet thats because they aren't selling as many. They might come down some if you wait a while.

Yep that is the place I would order from...so when extend and retracted that is manual? So you would just pull them out by hand?
Can you also fold them in tight to the truck like the regular ones?
<!--[if !supportLineBreakNewLine]-->
<!--[endif]-->So does anyone know if the wires are in my door to hook up?
If not what color are they and were can I find them?
The part numbers in the original post are the manual fold, manual telescope, power adjust, heated, turn signal, puddle lamp mirrors. They just pull out by hand and are held in position by friction. They fold flat against the door just like the other mirrors.

OK thanks,
I am going to ask a noob question but what is the puddle lamp?
I have to say when I first bought my 08 Lariat, I wanted the normal mirrors instead of the trailer ones. They're HUGE when compared to other vehicles/models. After a week, they grew on me, and look a helluva lot better than the extended Dodge ones. Get them, and you'll like them.
