Okay, it wouldn't pull up the above part number. What is that? A wiring harness?

So the below numbers are the actual telescoping mirrors with the signal, power adjust, and manual fold right? There was some sort of confusion on a previous post about glass, and mirrors, and that's where I became confused. THhanks..............Matt

It is the heater control head with the defrost button to turn on heat for the mirrors.

input the part number 7L3Z19980D without the dash's

The 7L3Z-19980-D is the heater control head with mirror heat button. If you already have heated mirrors you do not need this.

For the mirrors those are Power, Heat, Signal, Puddle lamp, and manual fold

The black one has the mirrors like mine. It was my understanding, that those are the only mirrors that come in the power-fold...True, or not true? Same running boards, also.

Thanks for posting those pics. The mirrors look good as well as the brand new trucks. So if I don't have heated mirrors now, I don't have to worry abou the wire?

yesterday, I was looking in the sales book at invoices because it was raining so hard, today I walked my butt out on the lot and spoke with 6 sales people. The trailer tow type mirrors like on the black truck are only available with a manual fold option. The only option for the power fold are like the ones on the red truck.

We have two king ranch's on the lot that I looked at with the power fold and I must have looked at 25 other F150's out of the 50 plus we have on the lot and about half of them have trailer tow type mirror's the other half had the paddle manual mirrors.

I hope this clears it up better, I learned more then I wanted to today and my brain is starting to hurt, duh

Tuesday I did they same thing with F250/F350's and those have trailer tow mirror and power fold. But that's another story.

The trailer tow mirror's I have listed are heated, if you want the heat to work then you would want the control head.

If you don't have heated mirrors now, you need the the heater control head 7L3Z-19980-D. You should have the wires in the door already for heat and signal, so you just need to plug in the new heater control head. This was the case with me also, I don't have heat or signal but the wires are already in my door for them.

Yes, mine are manual fold also. I was told that the powerfold mirrors were only in that "style" of mirror. In other words, only the trailer-tow mirrors are available in either manual, or powerfold configurations. I'M not saying that; I'm saying that's what I was TOLD. True, or not true? (on the mirrors)

My brain has given up on ever getting powerfold mirrors. I'll buy a new truck if I want them that bad. I'll stick with my heated, power, integrated signal with puddle lamp, MANUAL FOLD mirrors until one of them gets ripped off the truck. Then I'll buy a KR, or the Platinum in 2009. The GM at the dealership took me out to lunch today, and will buy the Escape. He made me promise not to buy an 08 KR until I see the 09 KR's in person. Guess I'll change my signature.
