it takes 4 gal if you just drain the rad..yes 50/50 mix..get a bottle of additive and test strips from IH dealer and test it to make sure it is up to snuff or close before you start..if you find you need to flush..read this thread and swap to red ELC..
Regarding the noise level with the 6637, it's definitely louder, but when you go with that Wicked Wheel, you'll definitely hear it making some really new cool sounds. I installed the 6637 first, then removed the foil form the hot-side I/C pipe, then installed the WW. VERY cool whistle now. However, it does get a little annoying at highway speeds on my last ~900 mile trip even unloaded. I can imagine what it would sound like pulling heavy. Since I don't pull heavy, it's not really an issue and I like it the way it is for now.
Regarding the ELC, you should also be able to get Final Charge concentrate from Napa. It's the same stuff as Rotella ELC. Alternatively, you can get it as a 50/50 mix from Wal-Mart. I'd make the effort to find the concentrate, however. There is enough left in the system even after draining the block to weaken the mix. Here's a link to the Final Charge website: http://www.finalcharge.com/
Oh, and you most certainly can change the wheel with the turbo on the truck. I did. It's a bit of a task, and I think it's probably a wash when compared with pulling the turbo. The good thing about pulling the turbo is that you can install new O-rings and up-pipe donuts and plan to do the EBPV delete at the same time if you so desire...
I might do the wheel and the exhaust at the same time. I'm not real sure about the EBPV delete yet. I haven't read enough on the benefits of it to decide yet and I'm not having a problem with mine.
YES!!! For the first time today, since I got my truck, I turned the heater down!! My truck actually got warm within 10 minutes of warm up and going down the road, 15degree weather, I had to turn the fan down! I can't even begin to tell you how happy this makes me, I've been freezin since I got this truck! The 203 stat is great, the truck runs better even! Next week the gauges willl be here and I can put in the WG actuator.
