Yay more boost... hack job inside
WTF? You might say...
lol, yeah, that was my new exhaust hanger. I made a couple of them.
I hacked it off and replaced it with:
1 - 7' piece of flex pipe
2 - 3.5" exhaust clamps
6 - sheet metal screws
1 - large coffee
Sounds very lopey at idle, couldn't hear much over my tires at speed, but I picked up about 2psi up top. It went from 17 to just shy of 20.
After using a porta-band (battery powered band saw) to cut off the muff, I wiggled and tugged, and wiggled somemore... then I sprayed everything with WD-40... then I wiggled and tugged... and then finally got the muffler/tailpipe off.
So now I have no muffler and a really awful looking exhaust. I'll get better pics in the daylight. I'm preparing for my DP Tuner that should be here tomorrow.
I lost my auction on e-bay... but I've been offered a second chance!! I'm hoping this welfare looking exhaust will convince the wife that a little Magnaflow would do me good I can get it for $400 shipped.
BTW - I floored it on the way back to the house on the testdrive and my SES light came on and stayed on while I was WOT. Once I got off the pedal it went away. It has flashed a couple times since I've owned the truck... but only a couple. What could that be from?

Sweet, hillbilly deluxe. Did you run it out the side in front of the tire or just splice in the flex to OE?
That ses is likely the 1211 code having to do with HPO pressure not keeping up. That DP is gonna really give that light a workout. BTW, preparing for the DP tuner is having the PCM out and all cleaned up so the chip can go right on and the whole shebang gets slapped into the truck. 10 minutes max.
Yer gonna love it.
