A friend of mine just bought a 06 cummins,this truck seems more powerful than the ford diesel's ive been driveing
Driver to passenger seat is always a different perspective, in the drivers seat you know when you are pushing the go pedal so you don't feel the power as much as a passenger. My buddies 06 Cummins will just barely beat my 03 6.0 of the line though
I dunno, the cummins has tons of low end torque but the one I drove kinda felt like it lost power once you got up around 2500-2600 rpm (it was a 98 24v) where as my 7.3 felt like it had a little broader power band. i've never driven a 6.0 or 6.4 so i can't comment on them, but from what I read on here they make there power 2k rpm and above.
That's what they make transmissions for. To keep your engine rpm's in the powerband. Torque gets it movin', horse power keeps it movin'.
My $.02 has me in a Ford truck for style and durability, a Chevy for the transmission and comfort, and a Dodge for the engine. However, that changes from year to year. Each company will make advances in their trucks that cause me to add, change, or drop a choice. All that said, I drive an '03 Ford.
The only way to make that comparison is to take a single truck and two engines, a CTD and a PSD. Make the test on one, change only the engine, and test the other. That's not going to happen. You might just as well throw in the D-Max too.

Well Kwik, that about sums it up. You've put that as plainly as possible. However, the debate will rage on for as long as there are multiple engine makers.
900k in 4 years. Thats 616 miles every 24 hours, or an oil change every 5 days. Thats alot of driving.
I just finished 400 miles in six hours! From Riverside to Sacramento Ca. non stop cept for gas once. 450 miles to my farm or back is 7-9 depends if I'm hauling a load or running clean. i think you have to take a break and no more than ten hours driving so 616 is a cake walk for one driver but now if we have two drivers its even easier.
