Is that pyro reading range correct..0-1100? Why only to 1100? From my understanding you can run at 1200-1300 for periods of time and it's not uncommon to quickly get to these temps with many tunes and while towing. I'm looking into gauges for both of these reasons(tunes and towing) and want to be able to monitor exactly whats going on, not just that I'm to a certain point and then guess from there even though I'm still in the green so-to-speak. Just qurious and soaking up info like a sponge. Thanks
I've seen mine peak just above 1400 running an ultra comp tune.

I forget, do you have the EGT probe? If yes, do you have the latest software update? It should be v2.3 beta 9.
No it is not available publicly yet, but it should be soon. As soon as it is, I will post in here.

Did you get a different OBD II cable from MSD? In order to get EGT to show up you have to get a different OBD II cable that has a small plug on the side where the EGT probe plugs in. If you don't have this cable, and a matching EGT probe, you aren't going to be able to read EGT on the Dashhawk. Right now the OBD II cable and EGT probe are only available to beta testers, they are hoping to have it available to the public soon.

On a side note, if you own a pre 05 diesel, hold off on buying one as the DashHawk does not read a lot of the ford specific parameters w/ the current public software.
Has this situation changed yet? The compatibility list shows the '04s on the mfgr's site.
The Dashhawk works with all 6.0L trucks as they all run off of the CAN protocol. It does not work with any 7.3L trucks. It only works on the gas engine trucks from 2005 up as that is when they switched over to the CAN protocol.
The reason Riggz mentioned holding off was because the latest software at that time did not work very well on the 03-04 6.0L trucks. It was fixed shortly after that and works fine in all 6.0L trucks right now, as far as I know.
Yep, I'm still really happy with it. I have also found out that MSD now has the completed EGT kits in house, they just have to add them for sale on the website.
Haven't had time to mess with fuel pressure yet. They've been too busy trying to fix some isues that have creeped up in the past couple of firmware updates. They've also been concentrating on getting out the EGT and Wideband AFR add ons working. I'm still hoping we'll be able to figure something out though.
Good news, it looks like the EGT kit should be ready for purchase this week.
This was posted on the Dashhawk Forums today by one of the guys in charge of the product development.

They are putting the info in the order system so they can take orders!:w00t:
BTW, the production kit uses a little different OBDII cable than the prototype (it's kind of "two headed" ... it has the regular long cable and then a 6 inch "pigtail" that you plug the EGT cable into. That allows it to fit up in the tight under dash area in some vehicles a little easier than the "block" style in the prototype.
Anyway, give it a day or two, and then you can place orders!
