You might want to look into the DashDaq. It seems pretty amazing.

I've had my DashHawk for about 6 months now and I am still pleased. I especially like the ability to customize the display. I have the EGT probe as well, which has been flawless. My only complaint is that occasionally the unit will "crash" and shutdown when scrolling through displays. In order to get it to come back up, I have to shut down and restart my truck. However, it does not happen very often, and the pros outweigh this flaw. I would buy the same unit again.

I am still happy with my Dashhawk as well. However, I wouldn't recommend buying one now unless you find a really good deal on one. On the Dashhawk forums they have already said that they are going to be coming out with a new model that will be able to do a lot more stuff. The version that we all have right now will still get a couple more updates, but mostly just for stability problems. Most of the development staff has moved on to start work on the new model.

Beer, would you wait for the new and improved dash hawk, get the gen2 dash hawk or go with another brand? any time frame from msd on new product launch? after reading this post sounds like most of the issues(sans fuel pressure) have been worked out of the gen2 versions. dont want to be a guinea pig. thanks

No real idea on a timeframe for the new model.

Yes most of the bugs have been worked out now, but many things we were initially promised will never be implemented (no more add on guages other than EGT, etc.).

As far as other products, the DashDaq is really nice, but it costs almost twice as much. The Scangauge is a bit cheaper than the Dashhawk, but it doesn't offer as much info.

Any news on the new MSD Dashhawk? Is the information displayed 100% correct like analog gauges?

The information is correct, however I think MSD has cut the DashHawk project. Check out the DashHawk forum on DashHawk Vehicle Information Display
