Hey xtraveler. Great info thanks alot. A little helpful hint. I couldn't get line of sight on that box behind the radio and insulation so i put my phone on video record and shooved it up in there. Showed up clear as a bell. Thanks again
Thank you so much for the info xtraveler. Went out opened my fuse panel door. looked up with a good light and there it was. Mine was upside down but it was there. Now I can set my own code. Many thanks!!

So that is how I got the code...
haha, That's funny. lol
my 06 F-350 KingRanch that I got had a stock radio (not that it matters) but I contorted myself and finally found the code, it is on a seperate module behind the radio. However, I ended up having to move aside some white batting stuff so I could see it through the mini storage compartment door but even so, I got mine off the sticker without removing anything.
Looked for almost an hour and could not find the box with the factory code on my 05 F-250. Finally took it to my local dealership and they put it on computer and retrieved the factory 5 digit code. They told me the later production 05's and on do not have the stickers with code on them anymore. The code is in computer which has to be accessed via the dealers computer. It cost me $46 for them to get it which I thought was not bad.
Back in 93 I bought my first brand new car, a 93 Cougar. It had the keyless entry and there was a sticker under the hood on the inner fender on the driver side, another on the trunk hinge and one in the owners manual. When we got the wifes used 05 expy, i initially search for one of these same stickers and no luck. Then just looking thru the book, found where it specified in there where the sticker was up on the computer in the pass side kick panel. And nothing on my 01 ex. Makes you wonder who was the lucky one to decide where and IF to hide them.
I have a 2000 X, and when I bought it, the owner had no idea of the code. So I looked at article after article... tore apart the WHOLE dash, and looked in all the places... NO CODE... I guess they didn't put printed codes on the '99 SuperDuty and 2000 X.. I wasn't about to pay $100 for some guy to tell me the code, so I looked into it more. I read a forum (not sure where) where someone used Microsoft Word to create a Macro to make all the possible codes... (sounds like something you wouldn't want to do, but you will be surprised) There are 5 buttons on the keypad. So you go into word create this macro that uses all the possible 5 digits numbers it could make with 0 1 2 3 4. It makes about a total of 10 sheets of codes at like 5 or so columns on each page.... TONS OF CODES. You then label the 1/2 key: 0 the 3/4 key: 1 and so on.... so now your keypad looks like 0 1 2 3 4... then you enter codes.... I did this for 10 min. and found my code. Some may be quicker, some may take longer... If anyone would like me to send them this word document with all the numbers, I would be glad too, also if anyone would like me to explain the procedure better I will. I'm so greatful that I found out about this way. I wish I would have remembered who it was so I could give the credit to that person, but it was probably 6 or 8 months ago. Good Luck!
I just bought my first excursion and would like to be able to use the keypad, any chance you could forward your code chart so I could give it a go? Thanks in advance... ebickhart@gmail.com

It's already posted here for all to see.

I didn't read all 43 pages, so not sure if this is mentioned yet. My code was behind the radio, but it was covered by insulation. This may be a diesel issue, sound isolation on the fire wall to tone down the diesel engine noise.
No way to see this code on my truck other than removing dash, radio, and them pushing the insulation out of the way.
Looks like I have to go to the dealer for my 2000 Ex door code. I have the whole dash out right now because I'm repainting it. I can tell you for sure. There's no code printed anywhere on the 2000's
