Looks like I have to go to the dealer for my 2000 Ex door code. I have the whole dash out right now because I'm repainting it. I can tell you for sure. There's no code printed anywhere on the 2000's
Save some $$$, I printed off the sheet list here and found it in less than 15 minutes. Pretty easy. It would have took longer for me to drive to the dealer and wait on them.
I'm a newbie here, this is my first post, but I had to say thanks for all those who posted before me. I was able to find my code without removing anything. I laid on the floor with my head ON the accelerator and looked up behind the radio. The module was completely covered by the white insulation. I stuck my little dental mirror up behind the insulation. Getting my extra hand with the light in the general area was a little tricky... Good thing I'm flexible!!! But there is was. SWEET! Thanks again to all those that gave input on this thread. Great site!
Stroker 6.0 fan... Your dealer was incorrect. I just bought my truck yesterday. It's an '06 F-250 6.0 Power Stroke, and they did not have the code. But it was right there where everyone said.
FourdoorF350... You can do it!!! I did. You just need a small mirror and a good light. Lay on the floor, look up, and it's there. Oh, I forgot to add, twist yourself like a pretzel!
Shoot. Somehow my eldest son figured ours out all by himself brute-force without the cheat sheet. I still want to know whose bright idea it was to use codes based on ten digits but only five buttons. He still doesn't know the actual digits printed on the card by the factory, but he knows the correct button sequence.
No thief is going to sit there and punch #'s with fingers crossed. I guess you know there is a code sheet on this forum?..............
I do know of the code sheet. Perhaps a thief wouldn't sit there and try it out, but it took my son a LOT less time than I expected it would. (And he didn't need a code sheet to take advantage of the shortcut it employs.)
By reducing the number of potential digits by half, the number of possible combinations was reduced by 96 and 7/8%!

I bought a used 2011 F350 recently and (of course) the code was not in the glovebox so I spent some time on this forum looking around for solutions. The solution, in my situation turned out to be very simple. While looking for the code in the Ford service manual, the folder indicated where the vehicle was originally purchased from. I called the dealership, explained my situation, gave the vehicle VIN number and they gave me the original code.
Bingo worked like a charm I then created my own code. I know is sounds like a bit of a security issue but its obvious that there is a code database that is pretty easy to access.
Can someone clarify this? Am I supposed to do 35 digits, then start over or do 5 at a time until I get it? Also how do you do the " key reset " so it doesn't disable the keypad?

Someone smarter than myself broke the string into groups to make it easy to find 35 digits. Remember, if you key in 20 digits, the last 5 open the door, so when you hit number 35, go back 4 or 5 numbers when you continue.
i have a 2000 exsursion and i cant locate the keyless code module..i have torn my dash apart, took the sterio out etc. i see what appears to be a black box no numbers or sticker. does any one know how to or what to look for to relocate this keyless code..thanxz
