Keyless Keypad Code
Thank You
Jeff
Would you please this word document with all the numbers and keypad and codes TY..

The hack took me about 10 minutes and was 100% free.
Also, 2000's don't have the ability to "erase" the personal code like newer models (guessing the 2001 is the same), so when you find the code, overwrite it - don't try the erase as it doesn't have that ability (nor the auto-lock...maybe the programming was updated in 2002?).
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
Security Keyless Keypad Programming on 2002+ Super Duty and Excursions
(Note: These instructions should work with other Ford's as well. If you have specific locations and supplemental information for other Ford trucks and suv's please let us know).
When your vehicle was newly purchased from the dealer it came with a card in the owner’s manual packet that had the keypad code on it. The packet is often lost over time and as the vehicle trades owners the code to the Keyless Entry is lost. Ford Dealers wants some big money to get the code for you by plugging in their computer to retrieve the code or using the following method. There is a much easier way for you to get the code and you don’t need any tools or automotive knowledge. I’ll show you how and where to find the code and how to reset the Keyless Entry back to the factory code or your personal code number.
There are three ways to find to it. One is a lot easier than the other but less work if you have a good eye and great flashlight. There are some Excursions, F250 and F350s that have a different wiring system so the first location to look is just above the right front kick panel; the RAP module is black in color with the numbers on the front the same as the white module. If you look above the kick panel you can see it really clear without taking anything apart. If it is not at this location please follow the next step.

This part is not hard to do you will need to remove the front cover under the steering wheel that says fuse box. (It has 4 plastic screws to remove) under the dash, the five (5) digit code is on the Cream/white box behind the radio, look to the top right of the open fuse box cover through the wires. (Towards the fire wall look through where my finger is pointing). At the back firewall, look for a 5 digit code on a sticker on a cream/white box. This is not easy but if you try every angle I promise it will appear don’t forget to use a very powerful flashlight if you want to see it.
The second way is a more time consuming job because you have to remover the stereo and to the rear you’ll be able to see the 5 digit code very easy. This process can take 2-10 minutes.

This is a picture of the Remote Anti-theft Personality (RAP) module. This is the module you are looking for there is nothing that identifies it as the RAP module (Some RAP modules are Black in color & it could also be up side down). It is the only box in the dash with the large bold type set with five numbers on it these is the five (5) digit code you will need from the module. Write this number down this is the factory code for your Keyless Entry.
Now that you’ve got the code I’ll tell you how to use the Keyless entry and set-up your own code.
Make sure when pressing the controls on the keyless entry keypad you press the middle of the buttons to ensure good contact with the controls.
Programming Your Own Personal Entry Code
1. Enter the factory-set code (keypad will illuminate when first digit is pressed).
2. Press the 1/2 control within five seconds of step 1.
3. Enter your personal 5-digit code. Enter each digit within five seconds of the previous one.
Your personal code does not replace the factory-set code. You can use either code to unlock your vehicle. Each time you set a new personal code the module will erase the previous one in favor of the new code. The factory-set code can not be erased.
Erasing Your Personal Code or A Prior Owner's Code
1. Enter the factory-set code.
2. Press the 1/2 control within five seconds of step one 1.
3. Press the 7/8 and 9/0 controls at the same time within five seconds of step two.
The system will now only respond to the factory-set code.
Unlocking the Doors
1. Enter either the factory-set code or the personal code (Each digit must be pressed within five seconds of the prior digit). The interior lights will illuminate as soon as the first valid digit is pressed.
2. To unlock all the doors, enter the factory set code or a personal code and press the 3/4 control within five seconds of the drivers door unlocking.
Locking the Doors
1. Press 7/8 and 9/0 controls at the same time. The 5-digit code does not have to be entered to lock the doors.
Deactivating/Activating Auto-lock
1. Enter the five 5-digit code.
2. Press and hold 7/8 control.
3. Press and release 3/4 control while holding 7/8 control.
4. Release 7/8 control.
The horn will chirp once if auto-lock was deactivated or twice if auto-lock was activated.
I dont know if this is normal but my 05 Superduty has a felt/cotton baffling along the firewall and you have to move this out of the way to see the code (after removing the whole dash and radio)

keyless entry keypad. In order to properly diagnose
the concern with the keyless entry keypad, it is
important to identify whether the keypad is a factory
installed style (wired) or a Genuine Ford Accessory
(GFA) radio frequency (RF) style keypad.
ACTION Use the following Service Procedure to identify GFA
RF keypads and provide diagnostic service tips.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
IDENTIFICATION:
1. Production installed keyless entry keypads are
mounted flush with the surface of the vehicle
and are wired directly to the module controlling
the vehicle’s keyless entry system. This style
keypad can be diagnosed using the appropriate
Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-14.
2. Dealer installed GFA RF keypads are adhesive
backed and protrude approximately 1/2² (13
mm) from the surface of the vehicle and there
are no specific diagnostics available in the
WSM (Figure 1). Article 06-15-8
NOTE
THIS RF KEYPAD WAS ALSO USED IN
PRODUCTION ON 2004 F-SUPER DUTY
VEHICLES BUILT PRIOR TO 12/3/2003. REFER
TO WSM, SECTION 501-14 FOR RF KEYPAD
DIAGNOSTICS FOR THESE VEHICLES.
GENUINE FORD ACCESSORY KEYPAD
DIAGNOSTIC TIPS
1. The keypad operates similarly to a remote
keyless entry (RKE) transmitter and is
programmed using a similar procedure.
• Although the RF keypad is not specifically
addressed in the WSM, the RKE transmitter
programming portion of the WSM, Section
501-14 can be used as a guide
NOTE
THE 7-8 AND 9-0 BUTTONS ON THE KEYPAD
MUST BE PRESSED SIMULTANEOUSLY DURING
THE PROCEDURE IN ORDER FOR THE KEYPAD
TO BE RECOGNIZED AS AN ADDITIONAL
REMOTE TRANSMITTER.•
Since the GFA RF keypad is essentially
another RKE transmitter, the transmitter
diagnostic pinpoint tests in the vehicle’s WSM
can also be referenced even though the
buttons serving the lock / unlock functions will
differ
2. The GFA RF keypad is serviced as an
assembly. The internal battery cannot be
replaced separately.
3.If the master code or owner selectable code is
lost or forgotten, the GFA RF keypad must be
replaced. These codes are not stored in any
vehicle module (with the exception of 2004
F-Super Duty vehicles produced prior to
12/3/2003).
4. The GFA RF keypad and all RKE transmitters
(the number of transmitters allowable will vary
by vehicle) must be reprogrammed together
anytime the keypad is replaced, an RKE
transmitter is replaced, or the module
controlling the keyless entry system on the
vehicle (GEM/SJB/VSM/DDM etc.) is replaced.
PAGE 2
NOTE
THERE IS AN EXCEPTION TO TIP 4 FOR
VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH INTEGRATED
KEYHEAD TRANSMITTERS (IKTs)
(FUSION/MILAN/ZEPHYR). THE GFA RF
KEYPADS FOR VEHICLES WITH IKTs MUST BE
PROGRAMMED INDEPENDENTLY FROM THE
IKTs. TURN THE IGNITION FROM “OFF” TO
“RUN” 8 TIMES WITHIN 10 SECONDS, WITH THE
8TH TIME ENDING IN “RUN”. THE DOOR LOCKS
WILL CYCLE TO CONFIRM ENTERING
PROGRAMMING MODE. PRESS THE 7-8 AND 9-0
BUTTON ON THE KEYPAD SIMULTANEOUSLY
TO SEND A LOCK SIGNAL. TURN IGNITION TO
OFF. THE LOCKS WILL CYCLE AGAIN TO
INDICATE THE END OF THE PROGRAMMING
MODE.
5. The keypad will normally illuminate for 5
seconds after one or more buttons are pressed,
and the illumination will immediately turn off if
the 7-8 and 9-0 buttons are pressed
simultaneously (lock all doors). The keypad
contains an optical sensor and will not
illuminate under bright lighting conditions. The
keypad may only illuminate briefly in colder
temperatures in order to maximize the battery
power available to transmit a lock/unlock signal.
The temperature at which this occurs will vary
depending upon the keypad battery age and
condition. Both of these conditions are a normal
function of the Power Save Mode and do not
indicate a need to replace the keypad.
6. After entering the keypad code, the system may
unlock the driver’s door, lock it, then unlock it
again, and the keypad will not even briefly
illuminate. This is the Alert Mode and is an
indication that battery power is very low and the
keypad must be replaced.
7. The keypad also contains an Anti-scan feature.
If the wrong code has been entered 7 times (35
consecutive button presses), the keypad is
disabled for one minute and the keypad lamp
will flash during this time.

DEALER CODING
they said I would. I got to it by removing the fuse panel under the steering wheel and then got upclose and personal with my gas and brake
pedal. With a bright flashlight I moved some insulation and some wires
and BAM there it was on a white sticker that was attached to a black
box/module. Very helpful thread,Thanks a ton guys.
Mine was on the box behind the radio. I got comfortable on the floorboard, stuck the gas pedal in my ear, and peeled the sticker off(carefully). Got the code and now its in the glove box. I wish I had it last week when the wife locked the keys in it while it was running.
