You could use better language in here,, most of us are families and our children are sometimes watching when we are viewing.
No. We can not find it. We pullen the radio, too. We will go to the dealer to see if we can get it there. Lynsta
I have a 2002 also found my 5 digit code today
pull you fuse panel cover off look up toward the back of your radio the brain box sit maybe 1in below the radio on the firewall its about 7x7x1in thick black box on the 2002 excursion. This is the tricky part I use a cell with video recording that has a built in light but if you get a small mirror and a flash light now you have to lay on your back on the driver side and postion the mirror in a angle above the 7x7x1in black box shine the light the number will appear backward so i would have somebody write it down as you call the number out .
OK. We did see something that may have looked like that, but we were nt sure if it was the right item. We could not see any numbers on it from below or with the radio out. Where on the black box was the number? Lynsta

Funny thing; today I was thinking about how I don't like that word and was wondering if I was the only one that doesn't.

Oh I garuntee we are not the only ones,, people have become so custom to talking in a particular way with their friends and then in these chat rooms they dont think anymore about what they say or who might be seeing it.
It is not uncommon for me to ask someone to choose better language when around me or my family.
Unfortunately with society today & chat rooms I feel that proper language or the ability to get your point across without cheap words, cussing, abreviations, etc is going to be lost in the near future.

Grandma's Quote: "If you can not say it the right way in proper language it is not worth saying"
Got tired of looking, so I started on the sheet. I modified it so that I could enter the codes 35 at a time (since that's the cutoff for the anti-theft feature). Got lucky and found the code after five lines. Unfortunately it's the code programmed by the previous owner. I guess that will work until I go through the rest of the numbers.
Big thanks to whoever thought to put that list together.

It is a good idea to disconnect the battery for a few minutes to let the previous owner code clear. Then go for the origional code.
As for language. I work hard to be professional in answering questions and not attach others for different opinons. Perhaps it was my AF background being taught as a Pilot to be a professional.
Chat rooms,,, never use them and probably could not find one.
EXV10 reminded us of the hacking option. I think this means using the chart to test the numbers. I appreciate the reminder. I do have that post earmarked. I am reserving that option for last, because I do not understand how to use the chart. Lynsta
