Finding door code
I have a 2002 Excursion. My cell phone has a video camera and a light. I got under my dash and started recording and presto, I found my code right behind my radio. I didnt have to write it down because I had a recording of it. Hope this helps.

Found mine by pulling the panel that holds the plastic hook on the dash (by the cig lighter). Looked up toward the radio in the direction of the drivers side and could see it with a flash light. Mine is a 2004 XLT V10 4X4

Bought my Ex 2 weeks ago, only had 1 key - no remotes.
Took it to the stealer, bought 2 remotes and 1 more key
and they looked up the keypad code for me also: total $200
but I don't trust the "flea market bargain folks".

I read all the threads on here about how to retrieve the master code and looked in all the locations or tried to look and became frustrated trying to contort myself with a mirror and light under the dash so I called up a buddy who works at the local Ford dealer and I stopped over this morning and he plugged a laptop into the OBD port and retrieved the code in about 1 minute- gratis.
I can believe that some stealerships would charge $100. If you were a past customer of a dealer and they try to charge you anything you should make sure to purchase your next vehicle elsewhere and tell them that.

I know it was brought up a while back, but for what it's worth, our city is battling the f250,F350 lock poppers here lately. We take about 1 to 2 reports of stolen ford trucks a month usually, going on for about 6 months or so, I looked in to the reports of this, not a single one was taken using the keypad, looked back over most of the BMV reports for the fords that I could find, all has visible damage directly under the door handle, no code was used to gain access. I now recommend the jimmijammer to everyone I talk to that has a like vehicle, it stops the door being bent and opened. It's far easier to pop a lock in 10 seconds (literally) on our trucks than it is to mess with a door code numerous times.

Just bought my F250 a couple weeks ago from a dealer with all new manuals... took about a minute to find the code once I read through some of your posts. Thanks a lot! Not sure on what the dealer would charge here, but I like working things out for myself.
