Well Im here. Been reading the threads and finding the stuff I need to start fixing Mary B. up again. I have big plans but I gotta start with the important stuff first. Gonna sell one of my bikes so I can get the tranny that I need to get her back on the road. After that Im gonna pull the motor and pretty that up. Once thats done Im gonna do the front disk upgrade and then just work on the paint and bling bling till she's done. Gonna leave her pretty much stock except for the tires, rims and maybe the interior. Baby steps I guess.
You're gonna have to refrsh me on Mary B. I am saving to buy a house, or build a duplex and live in one side while the tenants of the other side pay for the place. I'll do one or the other.
If I find the house I want it will either have the garage big enough or I'll build it and then later start on a project truck and I would keep you all well informed on the progress. I've also drawn up a lan and got a few estimates on what I won't do in the constructionof it but it is a 60'x 42' pole barn with a 14' ceiling and then in part of it I will have a 2 story living space. It will work great for a bachelor like me, just one of those thigns "when do I want to jump into that much debt?"
Anyway the truck would probably be a 3/4 ton out of the 81-84 range with either a deisel or a 351, auto or 4 -speed. The truck will be fully functinal too, not a trailer queen or a beater. I'll add a winch, no bigger than 33's and all teh fixins to ake it the perfect hunting rig, probably either battleship grey, olive drab or desert camo.
Mary B is my 65 F100. I bought her 7 years ago and she was my daily driver till 2 years ago when I did something to the tranny. Thats her in my avitar.

Those old 60's trucks dolook cool but I always thought the 80-86's looked real tough. To each their own, have fun with the project and create a gallery of the process to keep us all informed.
Boys I'm outta here till 2300 on 12-11-04. Got a little bit of quail to harvest, a few Coors Lights to suck down, a gal to see and a few functions to go to. The good part, no work to do. YEEHAW!!
