I just struck up a conversation (instant messaging) with a chick from not too far away on a personal site. If I find out anything real juicy I'll be sure and share. Stay tuned sportsfans.
manyou must really be wanting some serious snow if you're lookin at chains. If this new truck won't get me around in our snow here it's either way too deep and noone is moving or else my Ford Salesman is gettin an immediate call. My dad was my salesman and if the truck doens't so what it is supposed to do he gets a call.
You live in downstate Illinois. That says a lot right there I used to live in the boonies of Central Illinois north of Peoria. The city traded in their snowplow for a Zamboni. The Zamboni did a better job on the roads.
outside of town was so open that plowing was useless. IDOT would push the snow away and the wind would put it right back across the road.

Anyone wanting to make a wager?
1. She's married/taken and looking for something on the side
2. She's underage but claiming she's over 18
3. She weighs 400 lbs and never had a date for obvious reasons

The word "downstate" bothers me. Are you from Chicago? I've been up there in those types of snows, they are a blast.
Yeah, we want to know Birdhunter1. peppy, I think snow sucks over 1/2 inch. Years ago I was trying to get up to a radio site with another guy. We had 4x4 with chains all around. We got stuck at 2 am and sat there until 3 pm. The snow kept coming down. They had to bring in a snowcat to get us out.

4. Just plain fugly.
Look back at last Sunday mornings posts and you'll see my one and only (so far) internet date tales. It was absolutley horrible.
This gal claims she's 19, 5'3" and 130lbs. Sounds tolerable to me.
Pep have you ever had air lockers in a truck? I've thought about seeing what ARB or detroit has to offer for my new Ford.
Not lockers......Limited slip/Posi-traction/Traction Lok.....whatever ya wanna call it.
Positractions & Limited Slips:
Transmits equal torque to both wheels when driving straight ahead. However when one wheel spins due to loss of traction, a patch of ice, mud, too much throttle, etc., the unit automatically provides more torque to the wheel that has traction. Recommended for daily driving, works well in ice, rain, mud and snow. However, in situations where absolute lockup is needed, a limited slip is not the best choice due to the fact that limited slips do slip in some situations. Randys Ring & Pinion

I knew the general idea of each I just wondered if you had ever had them.
Alright guys details are as follows: she ust sent me a picture and she is pretty damn cute. She likes to hunt, fish, ride horses, ideal date is something I can handle (not too high maintenance).

I agree there. Snow over 1/2 sucks, unless your lookin to play.
As for gettin stuck out in no where.....yes, for sure that sucks.
Thats the biggest problem with four wheel drive. If you have open/standard differentials ......youre not hardly 4x4.
As of yet....I havent gotten stuck in the snow....but it sure has been close.
I was stuck another time on hwy 99 in the mountains. It shut down when a big rig jack knifed at 10 pm. I was there until 8 am. I was ok but my feet kept getting cold. I had a small propane torch with me. I took off my shoes and pointed the torch at my socks to warm my feet. It worked.
Maybe it' some type of zoo critter that knows how to type well.
The reason I ask about the lockers is that my truck doesn't have teh LS option in it and I have thought about the lockers. I'm thinking of my four wheelin' days of 16 18 years old primarily but I always liked the ARB because you could unlock it when you wanted to.
