I think that the L's warranty is void if you are racing it. I know the insurance won't pay if you are making money with it at the track.

So you can sell the supercharger on eBay when you scrap the truck

I don't know how much a supercharger would bring after it's been on a truck for over 100,000 miles. I haven't seen very many scrapped Lightnings, other than ones that were wrecked.

I meant the one for the Chevy, sorry for not clarifying. I wish there were more wrecked Lightnings out there, I'd put the drivetrain in a Pinto just for fun. Yee-haw, a Lightning fast bean!!!

I'd like to get ahold of a Lightning motor to put in my 150. That would be great for some off-road torque.

Put a v10 in it. Make it a really bad torque machine.

Naa. The L 5.4 should easily fit and makes more power than the 10. Could be expensive to upgrade the rest of the drive train, though. Interesting idea.

If I was going to go through all of that, I'd get me a diesel!

There was a guy in a recent 4 Wheeler Magazine that did the swap into his '97 Extended cab. He said that he had to replace the fuel pumps as well as tons of wiring harnesses. He said the Ls are way different from the standard f150s. Don't know if that's true, but just quoting what I heard.

Hmmm.... SRT-10 vs Lightning
SS vs Hemi vs HD Ford
All Standards Vs All Standards
No Other Comparisons are fair in any way. Quit comparing Ferrari's to Hyundai's

Oh by the way in the new(er) Truckin Magazine the Joe Gibbs Silverado destroys all the competition and is labeled as a Lightning Killer on a Financial Diet and its a package you can order from your dealer. Joe Gibbs has stepped up to offer Chevrolet competion in the SRT-10, Lighting Worl...Muahahhaha..ahem..sorry..just so happy to see a Lightning go down.

Wow, a pumped up Chevy beats a stock Lightning. Who would have thought. You can pump anything up to outrun anything, all you need is time and money. There are tons of guys out there with running in 10s or below with Lightnings, why don't you throw them in the picture. As you said yourself, quit comparing Ferrari's to Hyundai's. Your logic makes no sense. You can't say that the Camaro goes down because Steve Saleen builds Mustangs that can whoop on stock Camaros, so don't do the same about the Joe Gibbs chevy compared to a STOCK Lightning.
