Superchips 6.0 Microtuner Thread
They are supposed to but often do not. Sometimes they will put the sticker on the PCM, the door jamb, under the hood or not at all.
More often than not, they don't do it at all.
If I'm looking at the same thing you're talking about here mine has this on it...
TB55
DPU-252A
EEOFA 3K211
this is on a small sticker on the front, to see anything more I'd have to start taking the large plastic protective cover off, the one that also covers the battery. I don't see any DAXanything.
Jovis
I'm looking for either a "part number", which designates a file, not an actual part. This "part number" will be 3 or 4 alphanumeric characters, with a "12A650" in the middle, followed by 2 or three letters.
(Example: 4c3a-12a650-atg)
OR
a box code (Three letters and ONE number in that order. Example: SAW6)
OR
hex code (Example: vxbb7n7.hex or tqbd1na.hex)

"Authorized Modifications"
The following modifications have been made:
Then it will have handwritten: PCM reflash/recalibrated to blah blah blah blah
Sticker will be about 3" x 2" and usually blue print on a white background.
Is there a specific reason for this, or just the way it turned out?
These off peak torque gains..........a good way to look at this is drivability.
If you have ever driven, a two stroke they a re very pipy (sp) the more off peak you have the stronger the pull is THROUGH OUT the range.
For my style of driving and pulling, this is big.
If it did nothing until 3500 it is not user friendly, great to scare the mother –in-law…

Also, the off peak gains are there at WOT....which means when you rip through the gears it will make more power all over the place. The entire power curve changes from an arch that goes down sharply (stock) to a huge peak that continues to redline..especially in the Performance file.
You'll notice that the Ford 6.0 is very different from a lot of other diesel engines.
It's higher revving and starts making power later and continues higher than other diesels.
When you step on it from a stop, you'll notice the RPMs climb a little before you even start moving (automatic trans) due to the torque converter.
Drive a Cummins..............it's all over by 2800 RPM! The 6 liter is just starting to breathe here!
This tuner to me, form what I have read, is what "pulling" people need.
Across the board power gains. At usable/functional levels.
First off my truck is a 04 w/03 motor, 4x4, crewcab short bed auto trans
9in lift 38x15.50 PJ Dirtgrips on 17x12 .wheels. Stock gears limited slip.
I got my superchips programer today at the dealership and just tried it out.
From a standing start in 2wd I just floor it and the truck starts to roll. When the boost kicks in, the truck blows the tires loose and slides a little to the side. This thing is awsome!!! Shifts at 3900 every time and pulls hard.
Vic great job!
By the way... the truck also has a hog exhaust 4in turbo back, no resonator,no cat, no muffler, and the pipe exits out in front of the tire.
4wd is going to be used alot more then I thought!!

Jim is one kickass calibrator!
Uh, Vic I mean. =o)
Yes, Jim is my "real" name.
Already have reports with a G-tech, but they aren't scientific. If one program is more peaky or shifts harder, it will change the numbers throughout.
It's good for comparison, but not really good for hard data.
I told my dad to take it for a spin, we both where laughing the whole time.
He has a 04 Harley 250 and I think he is sold on the Superchips for sure.
It really is amazing how much this programer changes the truck.
Stock my truck was not even close to lighting up the tires under these conditions.
