What a terrible change of fortune for Vettel. And now Ricciardo making him look bad on top of his bad luck.
I was really hoping to see Massa in the top few. The Williams has had moments of brilliance but just not consistent.
Negative murmurers from Alonzo. He has waited five years now for a championship winning car and he's not getting any younger. Where can he go? I doubt that Mercedes is hiring, even for Alonzo.
I think the red cars have moved forward - Kimi was unlucky not to get a podium, and Alonso looked pretty good. I think they have a good chance at capturing the 3rd spot on the podium in Canada - anything with a Renault engine is going to get walked on the straights.
I watched the crash between Massa and Perez over and over again. The overhead shot pretty clearly shows that Perez moved up into Massa's path and Massa was going too fast to react to it. Sorry it happened because it looked to me like Massa was going to be a real factor in the finish of the race. He was flying.

X2 on Ricciardo very happy for the most talented driver on the circuit.
On a different subject still within the sport...
How do you guys like the announcers/commentators?
I actually watched the telecast a second time (I had some time on my hands waiting for a flight) I remember watching races in the past where the analysts/commentators actually gave insight and technical information. What I noticed was the constant insertion of expected/suspected "drama" 'Can Mercedes go perfect? 'Will four time champion Sebastien Vettel let rookie Daniel Ricciardo become the lead driver in the Red Bull stable?' And the incessant "OOOHHHH, OOOOHHHH!" From Hobbs and Matchett on the slightest wiggle.
Seriously! I don't think there too many 'casual observers' of F1. Do we need the injection of engineered drama?
If I were to rate the coverage it feels stilted and over produced. My ranking of the commentators:
1. Duffey C+
2. Buxton C
3. Hobbs D
4. Matchett D-
How much of that has to do with the fact that they are relying on the pool coverage?
