Good morn. Yesterday went to the Memorial service at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery. We had our Congressman show up and do a little speech but did not mention politics. It would have been disappointing . The kids had dinner at there house and I did not have to stand in front of the grill. I like grilling but it was nice to have SIL do the grilling. Hope all is well for everyone. Off to find some gaskets for water inlet on the old flat head. I have gasket paper and a ball pen if I can't find any.
Forgot to mention the new i-70 eastbound rest area in terre haute. Litterally a shrine to the speedway and the 500. A indy car under glass on display. Big interactive table next to it. Helmets, history, storries. Plan on at least 30 to 45 minutes. Indiana is showing the rest of the country how to do it right.
Good evening all, there's one less deer running P-road between Freeburg and Koeltztown, my 23 Durango RT took it out about 4:15 today, just cosmetic damage and all the front bumper sensors on the driver side. Good night all, I'm gutting my office in preparation for a proper desk with plenty work surface.
Evening folks, well did not get the last end of the shed T&G taken back down to stain. But I did figure out my next move as far as the wainscot trim and chair rail set up. Maybe tomorrow?
Chip sorry for your loss and heck ya on the gutting of the work space and a new big ol desk, that should make it all good.
Late to bed, usually around midnight and then early to rise, can make a guy tired sometimes. But I am up and at it. Everyone have a good day today what ever you are doing. And hope the under the weather ones are getting better.
Morning all,
I hate to see the dead animals along the highway. But what I really hate to see are dead animals on secondary, lightly traveled roads. It's like drivers are targeting animals crossing the road. Dead baby geese, possums, coons, squirrels you name it.
The sewer camera guy is coming today to figure out what's what under the basement floor. I've had a wet spot in the back yard since I moved in. I thought it was due to the sink/dishwasher emptying out into the ground beyond the patio. Well I had them move their drain to another drain line in the basement but the wet spot is still there. It might be from a ruptured field line off the septic but I still wanna know what all the drains in the basement are doing. I'd like to put a toilet down there if possible.
Nothing more to report here. Looks like we're in for some beautiful weather!

good evening missouri.. went to springfield to get my poison infusion.. did good until i was at the check out desk and blood started flowing everywhere. they worked on it for awhile and the doc said that i should expect a huge bruise and some pain for a few days..... sure will make working on johnn's truck a bit touchy. but all i plan on doing is pointing and grunting.....
went by alans but didn't see him outside and really did not feel up to stopping and chatting, so maybe next time
bj sounds like you have a full agenda for the next year or so..
the rest of ya'll behave as best as ya can and i will do the same
Morning all.
Chip sorry to hear about you hitting a deer. My daughter in law just did that as well. The damage didn't look that bad but the estimate was $6300. They didn't total the car which surprised me that that cost. Good thing she has full coverage.
Yesterday was my 58th birthday. Nothing exciting happened. Gwen and I went on our regular Wednesday date night to West Main Pizza to eat and hear Dave Baker play.
I've always wanted a 55-57 Thunderbird. One popped up at Linn last night. I will contact him and maybe take a look.
After changing plugs, regapping my points, and cleaning the contacts, my truck starts up nicely. Now to keep a close eye on the plugs.
I've gotten up early the last couple of days to get a run in. Not much sleep last night, so we will see how my day goes. I figure about 2:00 I will start feeling it.
Morning all. Spent yesterday on the road to Bowling Green and back for a site visit. Today I'm helping out at a reentry simulation for a group at the Lake. Should be back at the office this afternoon. For a short week, it feels awfully long.
Morning all,
Good news bad news on the sewer camera guy. All the pipes going into the floor, drain or air stacks, go in to a 6" main and out to the septic system. He said the "dirt" that plugged the pipes was actually just part of the cast iron flaking off and plugging the lines. So good news it's not the dish washer, sink or washing machine causing the water puddle in the back yard. Bad news; that means I've either got a spring in the back yard or a leaking field tile. Called the septic guy and he says my field tiles (really about the size of a garden hose) probably the issue. He thinks a junction make have come loose or a mole chewed thur one. He says the only way to find the leak is dig it up. He says they're only about 18" deep and it shouldn't be too hard to find. Soooo I guess I'm going mining in my back yard pretty soon.
I've got a dentist appointment at 11 so I'm not going to do anything until that's over. It's hard to believe I'm 73 years old and still get cavities.
Dave2 did you close on the new place yet?
Looks like it'll be around 80 here on the Eastside so be sure to hydrate!
No not yet, but I am going to drop a visitor message here in a min.....hold up. He...https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/m....php?do=getall joind FTE on April 17 2023. I reached out to the 60 year young member on the 19th of April 2023. He has not posted on ANY Mo chapter monthly chat threads.
So he is NOT a new member of FTE, the only NEW May members are mbooth236 and Ray Weter. I have dropped both a FTE Mo chapter visitor message. But thanks for looking out for new members and keep handing out them FTE cards I hand out at the OMR show. You coming down this year?
