Morning all, Walked Ginger and then started weed eating. Pretty much done but now I'm shot. I ended up foregoing fishing yesterday and mowed instead. After it was all said and done I realized I don't have my truck! There was plenty of mud but I managed not to get stuck.

I just want it fixed. They have a truck completely disassembled (cab and bed off) in the shop and aren't sure when they'll even get to mine. I'm going to the F100 Grand Nationals on the 13th of May and was planning to be in it. That's looking doubtful now.
Now that I'm done trimming and mowing, fishing is definitely within my grasp.

Dan thank you for stepping up and starting the May BS thread. Yes I dropped the ball, the torque wrench and the oil filter that was full of oil. Are you going to make it to the OMR (Ozark Mountain Run) in Branson Aug 14/15?

Cyclops I have always wondered about the blown 34 name. Where for did it come from.
Art, it goes back to the 34 Chevy three window I had years ago. I bought a buddy's old race car and then made it sort of a street car, blown 496 with a Littlefield 8-71 that was underdriven once I made it a street car. My buddy, Ed Nelson best time was 8.17 @ 171 blown on alcohol.
Morning all,
Ah, I finally took a shower in my house! It's not my on suite bathroom but still it's not the truck stop.
Tried fishing yesterday with no luck. Ponds pretty muddy so I'm not sure if that's the deal or not.
I still haven't found my degreeing wheel so the engine timing change is still on hold. Maybe I'll find it today. I'm pretty sure there's a dial indicator with it.
Everyone enjoy your weekend.
Well morning folks, we had a mini FTE G2G at my house yesterday. Jeremy (Jchet729), who happens to also be the only other FTE member to have a FTE G2G in a combat zone (Afghanistan). We managed to meet up in Kandahar back in 2020.
So him and his buddy Rudi (Ralston76) are down from Iowa hanging out in Spg. We hung out in the shop and talked life, Ford trucks, life, FTE, 12' stainless steel counter tops (dumpster finds).
They are going to be at the Route 66 100 year celebration in Spg today, so car show, parade ect....Jeremy/Rudi thanks for stoping by and was nice to see you again Jeremy and nice to meet you Rudi. Thanks again for stopping by.
Afternoon all. After spending most of the morning clearing brush back from the driveway, the wife made come in and take a break. I made 5 trips to the pile of stuff to be burned, but progress is slow. I'm cutting it back further than I have in the last couple of years in hopes that I don't have to worry about it until closer to fall. The wife vetoed the weed killer plan so I'm doing it the hard way.
Bj glyphosate is otc. If you ever cut down invasive honeysuckle brush glyphosate full strength on the stubs immediately. Otherwise it seals over in 30 mins and will shoot back up
Sprayed couple pump panels yesterday and today put in patch panels on couple more. Wifey and i going to kimberling city monday to look at 2nd home/vacation home
Good afternoon, I got the newly aquired pool table unloaded in the garage, to get it off my trailer this morning. Looks like we are playing pool in the garage tonight. I then also worked some more boards over to stay busy on the pool room project. Ran an errand, boworred a couple of pool sticks from the X BIL.
Might have company (sister in law and hubby) and or just staying busy. Dave if you can NOT spray, then push back deeper off the road edges. Like hook the brush hog up and back it in the 90* to the road line and keep backing until you need the chain saw for the ones the brush hog will not cut.
Rich - that's the general plan except that the driveway drops off both sides so getting a clean cut without hitting the gravel edge is a challenge. Right now my goal is to get it 2-3 feet back from the edge all the way down and then start working on 4-5 feet.
My ancient hedge trimmer is on its last leg so I paid a visit to HF and got a new corded one and one that's on a pole with an articulated head that'll make short work of the small stuff where I can't get the standard one.
Well my blood sugar monitor is screaming at me to eat something so I ought to hush for now.
