Jim it’s best to get an Appliance cord instead of plugging high watt appliances to a strip .

This is the cheapest toaster oven Walmart sells. Or it was anyway. There may be a cheaper one now. However, it is only 400 watts. I have been using it sparingly mainly because the only thing I cook in it is toaster pastries (can't call them Pop Tarts, that is a name brand) and even then, I don't eat them every morning. So, I think I am safe. I have my printer and house fan on that strip too and never had a problem. Of course, the printer is only on when I need to print something, maybe once a month or so for recertification of my section 8 of food stamps.
