Hello all, and welcome to the hottest month of the year. Well, historically anyway. I have a feeling it will not be as hot as previous years were, but that is just a hunch, not a scientific announcement.
I guess it all depends on who makes it, what they put into it, and how they serve it.
You could use any number of different ingredients. Make it thicker, or thinner. Serve it as a dip. Spread in on sandwiches. Spread it on your flatbread before you make a wrap. It could be a spread or sauce. It could be a side dish. Toss it with your salad like a salad dressing. Even just eat it whole, like any other bean.
It all depends on who makes it, how they make it, and what they add into it.
I've had buffalo meat. In The USA, it's American Bison. Tommy's Joynt in SF has it on the menu. Safeway sells it. The same animal that Native Americans used to hunt. It's now raised on farms.
Flavor? Texture? To me, it was just like beef. Just not worth buying. Too expensive. Triple the cost. I gain nothing from spending more money.
Ever tried beefalo? It's a cross between beef and buffalo. The concept was beef flavor with the cheaper feeding of buffalo. I never did, and I don't think it ever caught on.
