Time to replace the batteries in my 2022 F350 SD 7.3L dual battery and I figured I would upgrade to the AGM batteries.
The local options are:
Walmart Everstart Platnium 750 CCA 120m reserve
AutoZone Duralast Platnium 750 CCA 120m reserve
Interstate MTX-65 750 CCC 120m reserve
It appears the they are all made by JCI now and the battery capacities are exactly the same. Do they all roll off the same assembly line now? I have always been an interstate battery guy but if they really are the same batteries, with virtually the same warranty, I am hard pressed to spend an extra $100 to but the same battery from Interstate just for the name.

Any thoughts?

I don’t think you can go wrong with any of these. I have used Everstart and Interstate both with zero problems. I have used Napa Premium Legends for years without any issues. Interstate has became proud and pricey. If you like Interstate buy them through Costco and you’ll save that $100 difference. If you vacation travel a lot Everstart is a good option should anything go wrong. Walmart is everywhere.
I put the WallyMart EverStart Platinum in my 22 F350 Platinum just before Thanksgiving.
$179.00, unconditional 4 year replacement warranty at any WallyMart.
Whats not to like?
F Odyssey. I could buy 2 of the Walmart AGM batteries for the price of 1 Odyssey. That gives me a spare. Not that I'll need it, as the Everstart batteries have a 4 year warranty as mentioned and Walmart is everywhere.
I wanted to go with the Walmart brand when mine went bad, but none of the stores close to me had them. Instead, I went with the O’Reilly brand, they have a 3 year warranty, and like Walmart, they’re everywhere!
I've had a Duralast Platinum AGM in my OBS F350 since the winter of 2018-19 and it's started as low as -35F multiple times without issue. The truck sat for 3 months in the winter and it was dead so I trickle charged it and Ive been driving it still without issue.
I had to buy batteries for my 2022 a few months ago and I went with the Walmart Everstarts because of the price and compared to the others. My Duralast was only $150 when I bought it and now its even more. Costco sells Interstate but their warranty sucks cause of everyone abusing it.

JCI hasn't made batteries since 2019. Clarios (Brookfield Business Partners) bought JCI's battery business back in 2019. Clarios, East Penn or Exide make all of the brands you listed above.
I recently replaced both of mine. I went with the EverStart line from WalMart because they have the longer warranty (4 years vs 3 years) and, like was mentioned by others, WalMart is everywhere.
I do have one question though. When changing the battery type profile in ForScan to AGM, I noticed that the charge target was set to 80% by default. Why would we want the truck to only charge the batteries to 80%? Why not 85, or 90%? Who wants to give up 20% of their capacity?

I wonder the same thing.... and I don't see anything about it stated above. Only a link to someone's profile.

My guess is 80% is the standard target to change from the bulk to absorption phase of the charge profile.

I've read that some of the newer trucks (20-22?) came default at 120% target SOC.
