Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Found the reason for the foggy-grainy pics of the bucks on the trail camera last night. A spider had deposited a cotton ball nest that covered the upper half of the lens. Probably accounts for the weird bright UFO that was showing up in some of the pictures from that camera in the proceeding 12 hours.
Wind died down while I was down by the river. Mosquitoes became incredulous. Deet 40% Repel worked, but I lost enough blood that it required a transfusion before I could get it dug out and sprayed on.

Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Large Forest Fire in La Pine causing a mass evacuation of much of the East and NE side of La Pine, from S. La Pine all the way to North of Wickiup Junction. They next LAP zone north will encompass the Cascade Meadows RV Park, Paulina Lake and La Pine State Recreation Area Junctions. I was in La Pine when it started. It blew up in a big hurry.
Sectional Sofa, 3 recliner set delivery today was a no call, no show. Got a call at 422 PM saying they would be here around 8PM. 2020 I check the tracking page on it. Note saying "Cannot Perform Stop - Cannot Access Location: Undefined" was attached to the tracking and order details. Finally got a phone call through to one of their (Asian sounding, probably in Manila, Singapore or Bangkok) customer service agents who said the notes in his file simply said "too many miles, too many hours, returning to Portland, reschedule delivery". Had some heated conversation, wouldn't put me through to a supervisor, sent an email to point of origin and the supervisor there should call within 30 minutes. Hour and a half, still waiting. Said he included in the Email that Delivery would be made in the Morning. Why do I doubt that any delivery will be made in the morning. I'm not going to hold my breath.
Overhead Doors is supposed to be here in the morning. With the way things have been historically, I'm not going to hold my breath on any of this until I see them coming down the lane and pulling up at the front door.

Can't see any forest fire smoke from here this morning which seems strange. Just had an update that it was 30% contained. Using the NIFC map I was able to measure distance as the bird flies. 13.42 miles from the fire and it is moving away from us, so nothing to worry about here.
