Morning all. Just starting to rain here in Dallas. Not much on the agenda today.
Boat runs and did manage to get in an afternoon on the river. Didn't get home until almost 2000 but it's summer. Next to no algae on the Santiam so it's fishable for whatever fish are around or coming and will spend some time up there. Good to have a jetboat, better when it runs. Next project is to get the boat top resewn. The thread has had it and it's literally falling apart.

Isn't it amazing how they can make a material that will last 20+ years if properly taken care of, but the material they use to sew it together with rots out in 10.
So far, we're doing okay on our top. I don't travel with the top up and keep a travel cover on it. Most of the time we store the top in the cabin and we keep the travel cover on in the pole barn. The top is starting to get a little thin. I need to scotch guard it before we go to Diamond Lake at the end of June.t
With the old boat that we replaced about 10 years ago now, I did travel with the top up. We got away with it just fine from 1989 until around 2004/2005. Then we spent 45 minutes on the side of the road in Rickreall picking up the pieces and continuing on home. Apparently, that was one too many trips. I don't remember now if we were coming home from Detroit Lake, Odell or Diamond Lake. Since then, if we want the boat covered when traveling, we use a travel cover.
Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 46, overcast with 15 - 29 mph wind. Scattered light rain showers, more like periodic spitting. Skies look like it could really open up and turn into a monsoon if it wanted.
Sprinkler repair was a partial success, but I'm short a sprinkler head now. I picked up 3 at the store Saturday. One of those turned out to be defective. Turns to one direction but won't switch and reverse. Replaced it with another of the new ones and all was good. Then in another zone, I discovered a head that was failing. Looks like sage rats had filled it with volcanic ash, grit and pumice rock. Got all the grit cleaned out of it and it "kind of" works but some of the mechanism and gears are pretty gunked up and needs replaced. Got too stormy and windy to work outside anymore so I moved to the pole barn and camper related projects.

Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 47 and overcast.
Camper is all loaded and ready to pull out. Just needs us and 2 cats. Not leaving just yet. Costco doesn't open until 10, so we probably won't leave until around 0900-0915. Check in at Cottonwood Canyon isn't until 1600, but the site at Lone Tree looks open now so we should be able to check in around 1300-1400.
Looking for a 67-79 Crewcab on the west coast. Prefer a 1979 2wd in good running condition but will consider anything. Will pay finders fee. Looking for my forever truck.
