Got some mowing done yesterday. Have some weedeating, de-thatching and raking to do.
The mowing goes all the way down to the tall gras at the bottom of the hill and edge of the meadow.

43 with a 38 windchill and I’ve been out playing in the sprinklers. Had sage rats plug two of them up. Rifle at the ready! Going to have to remember to pick up some sulfur next time we’re near the farm/ ranch coop.

Hopefully you’re not out too far on the counter tops Andy. Sounds like a pretty major remodel you’re going through.
We are now supposed to have a confirmed “it’s really going to happen” delivery date of Monday the 24th for our 132x120 3 recliner, power headrest console sectional sofa. Coming in 7 boxes so I hope they don’t loose one. Not bad timing, it was supposed to be a birthday & Mother’s Day combined present.

Got two sage rats today.
Got 1/3 of the yard dethatched. And I took it to Sage rat corner. Essentially spring toothed the area and leveled all of the mounds and filled in all the holes. Hit a couple of other areas where they have colonies. I expect they will reappear tomorrow, but for now, it’s all smooth and nice. Got the two AG 5 impact sprinklers the Sage Rats filled with dirt replaced. Not sure I can get them cleaned out and functional again or not.
They dam up the tunnels to keep water out of living chambers. Had the same problem with gophers, moles & gray diggers in the valley.
I did stuff a water hose down a hole a while back. Let it run for an hour. No activity for a couple of days and then a new hole about 6 feet from the watered hole.
The sprinklers that got filled with dirt, jamming the impact function and gears, were right next to holes the vermin opened up. Some of that dirt was incidental to their digging. I suspect that some of it was deliberate to try and stop the water coming down the hole which means it’s done in the middle of the night. The sprinklers only pop up and run for an hour. Zone 1 at 2200, 2 @ 2300 and 3 @ 0100. They are AG 5 which are the big buried canister pop ups with lids.
Need to remember to pick up some sulfur at the coop and bring my weed burner up here from the valley. Stuff sulfur down the hole, use weed burner to light the sulfur and then plug the hole.
