I supposed Ford being number one in recalls and warranty repairs several years running is just possible failure rates with some people whining louder than others.
Wait…you just said number 1 is a silly comment that cannot be taken seriously, and then you went on to say number 1 is what you believe most CP4 failures ARE related to.
After going back and reading my comment I expected this to be said, however, I still stand by what I said. Your number 1 is a silly comment because you think only Ford owners are less educated. You may be surprised that despite what emblem is on the front of a vehicle, there are lots of folks that are uneducated about them.

That is my whole point. It’s not Ford owners, it’s the pump. GM and Ram owners are the same cross section of society with some doing the same stupid things and yet they aren’t failing at the same rate.

Can't blame the pump for what happened in that Youtubers video... and you can't blame it on Ford. Even down the road when it fails. It was the user's lack of understanding.

See edit above. I don’t think I can say it more plainly than that. And I can blame the pump that started this thread.
Just allowing for both to be true at the same time. Either way, it comes back to the CP4 being inherently less reliable than the CP3 and HP4.
Dear Mr. Rough Rider,
I hope this message finds you well. It’s now the year 2024 and I want to let you know that you’re getting worked up over something that is not news to the world. We know the CP4 has experienced issues and the unfortunate thing is it gets the metal shavings in the rest of the fuel system. There are very cost effective ways to eliminate that part though. Anyways…….What other users are saying to you doesn’t make that false so you can relax. All they’re saying is a lot of the issues can come from user error as well. Yes, we agree the CP3 might resist those user errors better. But it still doesn’t take away the fact a good number of CP4 failures can be user errors over time as well. Just relax yourself, you are not bringing ground breaking news to anyone.
Neither claim that’s being argued makes the other false. They’re both correct.

Dear Mr. Rwhjr,
Tell me you agree with me without telling me you agree with me.

rough_rider has already made their mind up on the cause. They are not looking for other reasons. They posted a list of 2 but then immediately discounted the first as less likely.

And you have already conceded the second. You realize that right? Unless GM and Ram owners are smarter, they are doing the same things at the same rates and those pumps are NOT failing at the same rate. Would like to help me see the light?
