Ended up going for a drive, hike got rained out.
Message came up 4.8 miles into the drive. We went 14.4 miles to the UPS store and I sat in the truck engine running in park, about 4 minutes.
drove 30 miles to our destination, hiked a few miles ( had to go north to avoid rain, lol) then drove 44 miles home.

Nice... at the minimum, you could have the 3rd ghost screen activated with the DPF soot load percentage... then at least you'll know when the truck will go active (when it goes from 95% to FULL on the screen).

Drove 4 miles and the cleaning exhaust message displayed, after 9.5 miles, the check engine light came on. Drove another 1/2 mile to the destination. I let it idle for 3 minutes and shut it down. It was off for an hour and 45 minutes. Started back and after about 3 miles the cleaning exhaust message came up. Drove 10 miles home.
I have a cheapo code reader and it showed the code P24A0.
thoughts?
The banks is in the cart. This is what I will order just want to double check.

Before you pull the trigger, make sure you are buying from a legit Banks dealer. Here's the Banks link for the iDash. Lots more info there...

And from their website,

Sales Support
If you have product questions or would like to place an order you can reach us at 800-601-8072 between 8am-5pm PST Monday - Friday

I would call them tomorrow and ask if there are legit dealers on Amazon... or if they sell them on Amazon...

Here's the SKU number for it I believe... 66560.

EDIT

Here's the business info selling the iDash:

https://www.amazon.com/s?me=AHSCCYI4X8BWU&marketplaceID=ATVPDKIKX0DER https://www.amazon.com/s?me=AHSCCYI4X8BWU&marketplaceID=ATVPDKIKX0DER

This may be legit, but not sure... I'd call Banks and find out.

I would get it out on a freeway and set the cruise at 70 mph for about 20 miles and see what happens.
I googled that code and it says: insufficient temperature upstream. That’s a new one to me.

If driving it hard doesn’t fix it, sounds like maybe a bad probe. But that’s just a wag.

I would only buy directly from Banks. Then if you need help or a replacement they are there for you.

Otherwise you are at the mercy of where you bought it.

You can still access the Banks website and download updates but it maybe harder should you need some real assistance with a replacement or other issues.

Can't imagine you would have any thow.

I agree with Dave, Get out there and run it. Clear the code and go for a nice freeway speed run.

That was @Just Chilling who wrote that.

And I would tend to buy right from Banks as well or a legit Banks dealer like @Bitterroot Diesel I ordered my S&S DPK kit from them....

or at the very least, call Banks to ask them about buying off of Amazon.

They do have this about EBay, I'd assume...

This warranty is VOID for any new products purchased through auction websites.

Idash ordered from Banks, the guy who answered said they don't support Amazon, I appreciate the heads up on that one.
I forgot to mention I got that code when we arrived at the campground, I got into the dealer and it turned out to be a bad nox sensor.
I only had 200 or so miles when the check engine light came on this past time.
I will do as suggested and take it for a freeway drive, LOL The closest and only freeway is I95 about 50 miles away. Off to Bangor we go, probably not until next weekend as we are busy this weekend and work gets in the way of life.
I will also clear the code, should I do it right away or wait until we get to the freeway?
The temperature here was 70 yesterday, I doubt the truck got to temp in 4 miles at 35 MPH, the temp gauge on the truck really hadn't moved.
Thank you for all the help, as you have figured out I'm very much a novice to all this.

If you replaced a bad sensor I would have thought that the dealer would have removed the code. Clear it now.
