The Banks iDash can trigger a manual regen when the vehicle is warmed up... I once posted the procedure and parameters...
I had an active regen this morning... It came early for some reason... Before I even had 300 miles since last one which burned down to 15%... Been awhile since I saw an active regen take the soot load down that far.
Truck went FULL, iDash went up to 147% then started dropping once EGT4 was hot enough. 5 miles later I was in the parking lot at work. Truck dropped to 90% and iDash was at about 68%. Put truck in park and let it idle to shut off the regen and allow EGT1 to come down to 400 degrees.
This is the screen I have set up for regens...
Just before I shut the truck off. EGT1 got down to 389 degrees. I usually like it to get to 350.

My regen was only 5 miles long before I got to work and got hot enough to get the truck down to 90% when parked. After work, the SL% went down to 85%. It was still hot enough in the DPF to passively burn down to 85. So the truck stayed at 85% when I got home yesterday. I will give more details later...
And like Scott said, plug and play. Plug it into the OBD2 port and good to go.
Been meaning to post this as a follow up to my last regen, which was unfinished, as i arrived at work before it finished.
So 146 miles later, my truck went FULL, on the dash and iDash read 89.3% Truck did a 19 mile regen, on the 65 mph expressway I drive on the way home... iDash got down to 0.0% and truck said 25% when it shut off. The truck passively regened down to 20% while driving as EGT4 stayed hot at over 1000 degrees..
I just opened the box, no manual, I'll check out Banks website. Been a long day and tomorrow is full up. I was planning on doing the freeway drive tomorrow so we will be leaving early, I should have time to look at it on Sunday.
I am sure to have plenty of questions.
the regen screen you use is it a built in screen or do you have to create it?

I made it...
The latest software version is 1.24.0... here's a page that has the update link and a video tutorial on how to update.. you need to get the update on a micro SD card. there's a slot on the bottom of the iDash. But since you ordered it recently, it may have the latest update on it. when the iDash first comes on, the software version number is on the bottom of the screen.
Thanks
I cleared the code and drove 143 miles today, 60 of them at 70 to 75. 30 miles up, stopped 30 minutes to eat our lunch then 30 miles back.
the cleaning exhaust message came on a few miles into the trip and as far as I know that was the only time it came up.
I will study up on the IDASH and get it installed.

I this a custom screen? I had some time the other day and started working through the set up process. Fortunately I have only need to drive once in the past few weeks, beer run. Lol
Today looks promising for an hour or two to try it again.
