Thanks, got it to work, needed an easy one today. Lol
I drove to the store, 5 miles one way at 30 to 40 mph, and on the way back the cleaning exhaust message came up again. Idash confirmed it was on. This is what has been going on since dealer replaced the Nox sensor.
soon as the photos of the idash download to the tablet I will post them.
Scroll down a bit to see the answer to setting sensitivity.

When you get a chance, take it for a long drive so it can burn down... has it been acting weird since the NOx sensor was replaced or just hasn't finished the regen?
And like Scott said, just hit one of the buttons and it will turn it on. Mine does it but very rarely...
This is after we started up the truck and drove 200 yards. EGR 1 started at 395 and bounced all the way up to 740 during the initial drive to the store, it maintained a constant temp on the way home.
one is during regen, at one point I saw the soot load at 1.7.
this is the first time I drove the truck since settling up the Idash. 2nd regen
Looks good. I would assume the pcm is commanding regen based upon your mileage and not the actual sl or soot load.
Dpf_rg will give you a time frame for the next regen in the form of a percentage with 100% being a commanded regen by the pcm.
When the sensor was replaced the dealer did a manual regen.
I drove home about 50 miles from the dealer and next several times out it displayed the message.
I did a long drive on the freeway as previously suggested and have done a few short trips, this is the first time it has come on since the long drive..
so about 200 or so miles, 250 with the drive back from the dealer

I'm assuming you're "bobtailing," trucker lingo for no trailer (or in your case, no camper), when you drove to the store? Was the soot load low when you started or a bigger number (prior to regen)?
Correct no trailer attached, hasn't been for any of this.
DPF SL was at 0 when we left, is there another screen I need to look at other then what I have displayed?
1st pic, bottom pic, is the display when we left to go to the store.
Got the message about 4 miles from the camper and needed to get back so I had to shut the truck down . Should I just go for a long drive next time out or? I unfortunately do a lot of short trips where we are at.. so any suggestions on how to keep the filter clean would be appreciated.

drove 30 miles to our destination, hiked a few miles ( had to go north to avoid rain, lol) then drove 44 miles home.

Thoughts?

I googled that code and it says: insufficient temperature upstream. That’s a new one to me.
If driving it hard doesn’t fix it, sounds like maybe a bad probe. But that’s just a wag.

Idash ordered from Banks, the guy who answered said they don't support Amazon, I appreciate the heads up on that one.
I forgot to mention I got that code when we arrived at the campground, I got into the dealer and it turned out to be a bad nox sensor.
I only had 200 or so miles when the check engine light came on this past time.
I will do as suggested and take it for a freeway drive, LOL The closest and only freeway is I95 about 50 miles away. Off to Bangor we go, probably not until next weekend as we are busy this weekend and work gets in the way of life.
I will also clear the code, should I do it right away or wait until we get to the freeway?
The temperature here was 70 yesterday, I doubt the truck got to temp in 4 miles at 35 MPH, the temp gauge on the truck really hadn't moved.
Thank you for all the help, as you have figured out I'm very much a novice to all this.

the cleaning exhaust message came on a few miles into the trip and as far as I know that was the only time it came up.
I will study up on the IDASH and get it installed.

Okay, I quoted all the relevant posts for you... as Scott said, maybe you are getting regens as per the max mileage settings but I feel your truck is going into regen a lot, but it could be because of the short drives and stop and go. But then why is the SL not building up and showing on the iDash? Because if it was, the soot load would be high...
Guy, same gen truck as yours, had the same code: P24A0
Basic premise of the thread: "Ford dealer called me back and said it’s one of three problem. Could be the fuel injectors, the DPF Filter (already changed), or a sensor on the DPF filter. "
Yikes!
just under 93000 miles. Next weekend we are going on a long drive 95 miles one way, along the coast so some low speeds and stop and goes.
I will email the dealer and let them know what is going on and set up an appointment, they are several weeks out..
I just renewed the premium care warranty so hopefully that will cover any issues..
