FOUND IT!! It’s that damn plug I posted in the pic. Took a good friend of mine (who’s a mechanic) to come over and point it out within the first two minutes of running... man plain as day obvious. I swear I’m blind... thanks for all the help you guys have given me in this thread it really helped me.
That CAC hose in the pic is looking pretty rough. Looks like a cut on the top. I think I'd be replacing that before it leaves you stranded.
Nice catch I’ll order some new ones ASAP!

Don't feel bad... I let my passenger side head HPOP hose fitting leak for 6 months because I couldn't find the leak.
Easy fix and easy day!
It happens, we live and learn.
I must have looked at it a hundred times haha. It was loose.. oring split the second I tried to remove it. Are these a special oring? I have an assortment so I changed it and so far it’s leak free. Gonna call the stealership in the morning and price them out

No worries, we have all been there. At least now you can start your journey worry free.
If the o-ring you put in it is working, you can run that for now. Appropriately sized viton o-ring will be fine and you can go to a parts store and look through their inventory.
O'Reilly should have a box behind the counter of various sized o-rings. You can size it and then buy a viton from the isle inventory.
Or, just order some from @DieselOrings who is also a site sponsor.
So I went to the local hydraulic shop because I’m not able to wait on shipping—hitting the road tomorrow afternoon oh boy hope I can get this sorted! I explained my situation and they recommended this washer to help keep the oring from squishing out. I’ll see if it works in theory it’s a great idea. If it works this might help others in the future.
I imagine these plugs take a very light torque as there’s nothing to keep that oring from squishing out? I’ll report back..
Edit: on that note a copper washer might be better than an oring for these plugs.. then again there’s a million on the road that aren’t having problems.. just thinking out loud haha
Thanks for the pic! I didn’t realize it was beveled it looked flat to me but again I’m obviously half blind lol. Maybe this washer isn’t a good idea then. So far it’s working I’m going to run it and see. Time to pack for my trip wish me luck!

Truth be told, that is a drawing for the OEM HPOP hose fitting on the head. The oil rail plug may be similar though, I haven't looked closely. I just know that millions of trucks for millions of miles have gone the distance without the washer.
Maybe you have discovered a new method, maybe not.
Good luck and I too would leave it be if it is not leaking.

That picture you posted is correct for the geometry of an ORB port and fitting so you did good!
You guys have been a great help thanks so much. I love this forum it’s crazy to me that all this information is basically free. Hope I can give back to the community in some way some day.
Just wanted to follow up on this thread. No oil leaks to speak of so I think I’m good to go.
Did a 300 mile round trip pulling my camper up some steep grades (up to 6% for several miles). Boost would peak at 24psi and I was easily able to keep it under 1200* on the pyrometer. Everything seems to be right where it needs to be. Thanks for the help you guys have given me to get this ol’ girl sorted out.
Daddy daughter trip to the Wyoming badlands. Went for some good rides on the bikes!
