Question Gauges

Recently installed pod with 3 gauges(Voltmeter, Pyrometer & Boost)
1) My boost will only get up to 4 PSI no matter what RPM range I am at. Is this normal or do I have an installation issue?

2) The place where I had my gauges installed, installed the pyrometer bung at the bottem of the downpipe, which comes way after the turbo. I hear this placement is a waste. Does anyone have any suggestions on the correct placement of the pyrometer bung?

Thanks for any information regarding this topic!!!!

Boost sounds strange, unless you are real light footed. Stock max boost should be around 10-13 pounds.

As for the pyro, why bother its out your exhaust, the best placement is on the uptube going to the turbo and watch to make sure it does wander over 1250 too long when towing. Sounds like whoever did the install took the easy route.

Stock max. boost is somewhere around 17-19 psi I think. When I get on it good I can always hit 17-18 psi. Where are they taking the boost reading from?

As for the pyro...the exhaust manifold is where mine is. A lot of others install it on the up pipe to the turbo.

Hope this helps.
