I am currently doing a frame off restore on my 74 f100. I bought this truck about 10 years ago (you quessed it for 85.50)
it had 33000+ original miles on it i drove and enjoyed it for a couple of years it now has 70000 original miles on it.
it got parked for the next 8 years or so, dont remember exactly.
i started working on last year in the summer.
progress is a little slow due to life.
if i can fiqure out how i will post pics of progress to current state.

I know i can post more than one at a time, i gotta figure out how Before cleaning junk out of the truck As you can see bed floor is gone, so i will be following fuzzface2 lead and install a metal bed from a donor truck. As you can see motor is toast, the block froze and busted several years ago. The reason we parked it. I got a 5.0l marine engine to replace it for 100.00. So that is what is going back in it.
I am trying to keep this in order of progress as it was happening. Cab removed Didn't take pics off body removal. But here are some from aug 7th. At the end of july i bought a expedition (for 700.00)for the wife to haul grandbabies in so fixed that for her

Ah, now I see that the rear fender is from an OBS truck. You could pop some older rear fenders on there and run with the newer bed. But the bed styles changed for Flaresides. Ford stopped making Flaresides for a few years in the mid 1970s, and when they brought it back, the bedsides were a little different. I think the older ones went up at an angle at the top, whereas the newer ones are flat at the top of the bedsides, like in your picture.

Yes meangreen you are right. They are a bit different but the body lines work well together(i think anyway) Aug 21 painted frame Also painted some of the suspension parts.
