i understand about the rain, my son lives approx. 65 miles south of us and he can't do much of anything his place is like a frog pond. Some time in june we finally got a break from the rain. Now we are getting our normal summer showers. Hope you get a break soon.

Now for some full disclosure
i messed up. In the process of putting a steel floor in a flair side bed i did not take the thickness of the original wood floor into consideration. This caused me a problem of a gap between the floor and bed sides.
hummm how to fix, the resolution i came up with was 2x1/8th inch flat iron to fill the gap.
i will post some pics

Finished stitch welding flat iron in. These are after cleaning welds and seam sealing. Looks way better. They need sanding and cleaned up.
i don't think they will real noticeable.

It's coming together. You were left between a rock and a hard spot on this one and have made the best of it. Good on you Brother. Add some bed liner and your done with the inside of the bed. Keep up the good work

We have made some headway on the truck,(the wife has helped lately)
i also wanted to say thanks for reading this thread.
And thanks for the kind words and encouragement.

Filling in the original bolt holes, the bed is modified to be completely bolted from underneath. I think it gives a cleaner appearance.

This past weekend we was able to paint the bed

The front of the bed was painted before we reinstalled it on the frame. Here is a couple of pictures with it cleared
