A few more pictures of progress

Started working on dash and dash board

Motor assembled, spent more time waiting on parts than working on it. Transmission coupled up too

Thanks can't take all the credit though, it is a marine engine so very easy to clean and prep.

Those inner fenders look NICE!

I am a fan of the original look for the engine bay.

I like the original look too, but as far as i know you can't by it. And get them redone original ain't happen. So i sand blasted them, treated, primed and painted them. That hammered paint came out really good. Thanks whoever's idea it was.
also I'm using really dark blue paint, i fiqured if painted that color it would be hard to see when working under the hood.

I think best you can do is paint your existing fenders to look like galvanized metal.
(The galvanize paint I tried just looks like primer...)

These inner fenders were stamped out of galvanized sheet metal. Mine has the USS (United States Steel) logo on the face that is opposite the engine bay. Pretty cool.

You are right about it looking like primer, i have tried it in the past and didn't like the looks of it.
on another note how do people clean the underside of inner wheel well? I sand blasted mine, i couldn't think of another way to clean the valley ( for lack of better description) where the hood hinges bolt up. Mine are done but may help someone else without a blaster. Do you know how they do it?

Only other way I could think of is to take those pieces off. Then you could have better access to the deep and narrow area.

I have seen where people will drill a "witness hole" to aid in re-alignment of those parts.

Bringing up again
have been working in it as life allows.
most of the work you really can't see
complete new brake system
hydraulic clutch system
and all suspension work done
even some painting and assembly
some pics for those interested

This how i did my clutch assembly, i used the arm off of a 92 f150. And off set it to match

Bad paint job, had to redo. Primer did not cure as it should have, temp. humidity who knows had to redo.

This time looks much better At 400.00 a gallon first time is best if you know what i mean.

Paint redone
