4th was awesome. My wife and I and my mom spent hours at the neighbor's house. Folks from the neighborhood stopped by and we got reacquainted. The neighborhood shot the hell out of fireworks. Stage 2 fire ban? No professional fireworks displays? Challenge accepted.
Here's the brisket I smoked overnight. The onions on top got served also. I think I may have invented a new food item: Onion Jerky. It was chewy like regular jerky and incredibly flavorful. By the end of the night, two of the garlic bulbs were gone and all the meat.
I finished my Trommel yesterday and tested it out on a few buckets of rocks. It needs a few tweaks here and there but otherwise it works good.

Worked the same way on the forum I moderated. A nuclear war could be going on one subforum over and I would never know it unless it was brought up in the moderators forum.

Smoked brisket looks good, briskets my favorite from the smoker.
Sounds like everyone had a good 4th, & we all have our fingers & toes!

ForCal man, you never had a chance.
Jim, brisket looked so good. I’m going to have to attempt one this year.
Its going to be a slow but busy day here. Packing up the truck to start the 1000 mile journey tomorrow. I wonder what I am going to forget this time. The wife is going to want some quality time before I go. Trucks all ready to go out for another tour, oil changed, fuel filters, tire pressures etc. so now it’s load up the stockpile in the spare room and check things off the always expanding list.
That’s all I got. Glad everyone had a safe 4th 👍

The whistle blew, time to get out of the pool, and I guess ForCal must have slipped on the pool deck. I didn't look behind me, otherwise I would have helped him up.
After all, he's innocent, compared to some of the other rap sheets that are tacked up on the wall in the Situation Room.

HOWEVER.... not stepping in front of ForCal, but could you PM him your playbook just for the downtime you're driving so we don't screw this quarterbacking thing up??
AdirondEx would have us planning an attack on ISIS, good but we might get too much attention.
HRTKD would be having us bulid things that would circuit fry NASA. Good but tough transition from Bud Light to quantum theory.
Matt would have us doing stick man ****. Good but MAYBE too much attention
Gallows would show us how to build "secret bunkers". Good but maybe too much attention

This is why ForCal's a player. Throws out some funky wrestling pics, gets us to bite, throws out a some tech, keeps everyone level, comments on tech topics.....keeps us on plane here.....if he sees things going sideways he'll throw out "HRTKD style quantum stuff" to snap us back because he's good at playing possum

@ForCal and I were actually playing water polo together in the cesspool of a slippery oil thread upstairs... as the trimillenial approached.
The whistle blew, time to get out of the pool, and I guess ForCal must have slipped on the pool deck. I didn't look behind me, otherwise I would have helped him up.
