First attempt custom grill
Also time for this nasty window tint to go away...
That was fun... said no one

Flipped it over, removed the sticker and cleaned it really well on this side as well.
New rubber seal installed and ready to go back in.
it was getting late so I'll install it tomorrow...
wireless phone charger and USB charging ports.
attempting to install 6 speakers without cutting any interior panels. Time to build some stuff and see how it turns out.
Center console build coming soon?
Started putting a center console together, not a fan of how the B&M shifter is just sticking out all by it's self. Also don't want to cut holes in the door panels so speakers will be going into the console as well.
Made each piece out of cardboard first then cut them out of 3/4" MDF board.
Found some stainless cup holders on Amazon
Also diverted the floor heat into a new adapter I made and ducted it over to a side vent I took from a 2002 F150 dash so the floor heat will still work and not be blocked by the center console.
Going to run a trim piece across the passenger side and blend it into the console
Still working out the shape but it's getting there. Wireless phone charger and USB charge will go into the center cut out.
Speakers installed...
Making my own speaker covers instead of using the plastic covers.
I ordered some retro speaker cover material and some custom cab emblems to give the speaker covers a retro old-school feel.
Stuck them on so you can have an idea of what I'm going for. The console will be padded and then covered with black vinyl like the speaker cover.
A lot more work to go, should be fun.
Thanks! trying hard to make it look like something that might have come with the truck new but finding that a bit more challenging then expected. Sometimes things just end up looking modern no matter how hard you try....
Ended up reworking a few parts of the center console so it's taking a bit longer then anticipated but here is another update...
cut a new top face plate with a larger opening to fit the wireless phone charger and USB plug. Also added some polished aluminum trim to both sides.
Wireless phone charger glued into place.
Matching speaker mesh placed over the charger
Added the foam padding
Wrapped the top and front with vinyl but ended up not liking the new opening around the chargers as the vinyl was pulling away and wrinkling.
So I came up with a new plan to add a trim ring around it by using one of my spare tail light housings.
chopped out the tail light frame
Cut it into 4 pieces, removing 2 inches from the length and then adding some back to make it wider and match the center console opening.
Kept working the metal with my hammer and dolly until the edges curved back to match up with the surface.
body worked it adding some filler and then primer & paint
Also continued work on the side cover. The padding has been glued on but still need to add the vinyl and the center speaker insert for the passenger side.
Drivers side speaker cover so you can see what it will look like when done.
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts

Finished it up by making the divers side cover panel and also making some upholstery piping to help fill the small gap along the side panels and the aluminum strips. Now I need to pull it back out and do the wiring for the speakers and the chargers.
Walls scrubbed and cleaned really well
Sound deadener applied...
corner pocket speaker panel coming together.
Curving it to try and match the cab shape.
Small 300 watt amp and amp rack coming together
Pulled the carpet back to start running wires and also sound deaden the floor.
Wires run and wrapped
That's it for now... more to come...
Man, you do real nice work!
I finished wiring in the mini amp and got back to making panels and upholstery.
used velcro strips to hold the wires tight against the back wall so they wont vibrate and make noise
Padded and upholstered the corner pocket speaker holder and installed it.
I still need to build a speaker cover and that should be fun with the curved wall...

When you’re done, please come to Sweden and fix mine….
At this rate I don't think I'll ever be done
. It would be fun to hop over and check yours out but for now we live with just pictures...Small accomplishments over the weekend, lots of wiring for the stereo and center console but they are both completely wired now so that's one more step in the right direction. I put the center console back in and hooked up everything for the final time. It's nice to look at it now and know I don't need to take it out again anytime soon.
Power cable and fuse done and matching the engine bay nicely.
Pulled the amp back out and made a mounting board then upholstered it with some more retro looking fabric. Most of it will be covered by a sloped panel with a cutout around the amp and the fabric will just be a small background effect.
Slow progress but a ton of details done
