First attempt custom grill
And now with the light blue paint and the thin rod and spacers... (sorry bad lighting looks white)
I still need to do a few more adjustments and then "patina" the paint to match the truck.
1) Glad you are feeling better!
2) How well does the sound deadening do in the doors?
3) Damn dude, that grill is awesome!
Thank you, getting older sucks... Just can't bounce back like I used too.
It makes a big difference in the doors as they go from having that tin pan ting sound to having a nice solid thud.
Thank you, I'm happy with how the grill is turning out "again" I'll try to get some better pictures in the daylight soon.
I also got the lights wired up for the license plate...
....Here is the "Before Shot"
And here it is now...
Pictures of the roll pan in the day light as well...
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
I like the way this turned out. Great idea and execution.

Keep doing what you been doing! Like the grill. Tail gate and roll pan are wicked, I like it! Truck looks great.....

dude, I like everything you've done. Looks awesome. you've taught me a thing or to to be creative, go with what you like and want and don't worry about others.
Wow! Thanks Robert!
It's always good to hear from you, thanks for your feedback
Thank you, I always like when people such as yourself, are not afraid to try something. I also watch Ian he's got a talent.
Decided today was good as any to rebuild the passenger door so I got to work on it...
cleaned off the rust and got it ready for primer & paint
Primers on
rebuilt the passenger wing window (same steps as the drivers side)
Removed the old door handle and lock
removed all the old felt/weather stripping
Laid out the new handle for assembly
New handle and lock installed
Sound deadener installed
sprayed the moving parts with fresh lube
window crank cleaned up and painted
New lube on the channel
sealed up all openings that could let in cold air
installed and cleaned up the door panel.
Now onto the next....
That looks great!
Today was about small victory's and finishing touch details. Someone removed the dome light switch, bracket, and wires (including everything up in the dash for the dome light) so I've never had a working dome light in this truck. I ordered new switches and then went on the hunt for brackets and the wires. Luckily my parts truck had everything needed and the wires were not cut so I worked them back into place and plugged them in. Cleaned up the brackets then primer and paint later they were ready to go on. Put them on with some stainless steel screws.
As I was looking through the parts truck there was a coffee can full of nuts and bolts that came with the truck and I never really looked through it. I ended up knocking it over when I was getting the parts and in the pile of bolts I found an original cigarette lighter. It's been a long time since I've been that excited to find such a simple little part but after cleaning it up I shoved it into the dash and it still worked!!! I don't smoke so I didn't really care if it worked or not I was just happy to have another part that completes the truck. None of my trucks have an original lighter so it was a great little detail to find. I'm sure you can probably buy new ones but it's the small victory's like this and finding good original parts that make this hobby fun.
