The color is close to my original yellow. This one is an Eastwood mix called buttercream.

Engine and trans pulled. I’m putting a rear sump setup on the 390 so I can fit it in with the Mii front end on my chassis. Swapping the top loader for a c6 auto.
I have the 302 I built for this project and the top loader. My wife asked me to build a factory 5 cobra for her so I’ll use the 302/4sp setup in it and the 390/c6 in my pickup.
tci made me a set of motor mounts that will work with the mustang 2 so next week I’ll roll the chassis in and mock up the mounts. Will burn them in after I have the c6 and see how it sits with the trans xmember.
Spent some time last week getting the cab ready for another coat of paint. It had too much orange peel and the paint was a bit too thin last time. My wife and I scuffed it up and masked everything off then I put together a makeshift booth in the driveway using a pop up tent and clear plastic. Sprayed a nice wet coat and it came out how I wanted it to. Much more shine and depth of the yellow.
