This stupid van. I cant order anything without having it apart lol...that neutral safety switch...theres 3 diff ones! After buying what's at the store its wrong. Called dealership and they wanted to give me the wrong one too!! Searched by vin and then they got it right.. I have some torque transmission so it's an all brass looking one....now I play the waiting game
As I play the waiting game I'm looking around about how to remove the nss. Not much luck but I havent really looked at in on the trans that close yet other than to discover i have the wrong part. What I am seeing is how this type of trans and switch rarely have a failure and that code p1705 is probably caused by the fan clutch? and not the nss.
I actually found a video of a guy showing that pin after he did it of course lol... is that tool like an easy out? LH threaded? I wish I had unhooked the fan clutch and tried that before draining/dropping the pan

The pin puller end is a tapered thread that are sharp. This allows you to sort of screw it in.
The threads are not so large that they expand the roll pin so that when you use the slide weight
it will also pull the pin out with it. It is basically a very small slide hammer.
Here is a good look at the tip from the Ebay posting.
Notice how it has the sharp tapered triangular threads. The idea being to bit into the inside of the pin and not expand it so you can pull it out.
The tip is broken on that one. I've pulled roll pins using a good quality sheet metal screw, if today you can find a good quality sheet metal screw.

The clown I got mine from had ground off all the threading and made it useless for the intended use,
