I doubt it. In order for it to work with your phone, the USB would have to be wired into the SYNC/radio harness. I believe the USB's you are seeing in this thread are just straight 12V power for charging purposes only.
I wonder how hard it would be to relocate the USB that has the data connection to the sync 3 unit to the location OP has his charging, and then put a regular 12 volt charging outlet in place of the OEM sync 3 hookup.
Do any of those USB ports work for carplay/andoid auto?
This is discussed at length earlier in this thread around post 69. As others have stated ports will not work unless you push the ports through your center console and get an extension cable, which I ultimately did. Some recommended parts around post 69.
you could also potentially relocate the entire set of USB ports but I chose not to. One goes to my center tray and the other goes by cable to my left mount for my cellphone, which I use most often.
