2018 Super Duty I rotated my tires yesterday and then adjusted the pressures 60 front 68 rears. I took the truck for a few minute ride and the pressures switched to the proper readings and positions of the tires. However the left rear tire TPMS light is on even though it is reading 68 cold and 70 hot. Is there a way to turn the light out?
Always share the detail of your truck -- signatures are a good way to do that. In this case, the TPMS settings are different for an F-250 than an F-350.
In general, the TPMS trigger is not the same in each direction. That is, assume my TPMS setting were 50 psi. The truck does NOT work such that at 49 psi the light comes on and then at 50 psi the light goes back off. It goes back off at a higher setting. In your case, 70 psi might not be high enough to turn the light off.
Or, your TPMS sensor needs to reset itself. Or, it could be broken.
In any case, you can adjust the TPMS settings with FORScan. I have mine set to 50 psi ... so, they're effectively off and only serve as a catastrophic indicator ... like maybe someone slashed a tire when I was in the store.
67L48 yeah i keep meaning to add Truck info to my signature. It is a F350 6.7 Super duty. I just drove it around for about an hour and warning went off on its own finally. Didn't have to do any sort of reset.
