i was just guessing... i know some states have stricter codes than others...
anyways i got heat again in my room... apparently the defroster board in the outside unit is toast... and is why that unit kept freezing up... and unit in the attic that holds the coils for the emergency heat the heater coils burned out... YAY warranties... lol systems a month old... and already has issues...
Much of that new stuff is crap, Shawn. Most water heaters have a 6 year limit. 3 years ago I bought a new one for here. Old one is till ok....Installed in 1983. just trying to see how long it will last.
Bought a new refrigerator 3 months of use the electric timer went out. Replacement part was a lot better than the old. Still have a 1990 refrig in the basement going strong.
never had issues with water heaters... VB house we only had to replace twice... and that house was built in 89.... so twice in 29 years aint too bad... the last one had the inner tank crack ended up flooding the garage...
the AC/Heat pump that was put in here is a Trane... (nothings supposed to stop them right?? Lol) im kinda wondering in the finakey power here is what caused the board in the outside unit to burn up... the attic unit i think the coils burned out 2 weeks ago when it got really cold outside during the night and it smelled like something was burning... though it was just the dust or preserver burning off since it was still new and hadnt had the coils used yet... but musta been when it burned them up...
Hope everyone is doing good. I've had an extremely busy week. Took Catherine and the kids yesterday to the Pik N Pig in Carthage for some BBQ and to see Santa Jump out of a plane (or the elves, not sure who was supposed to be parachuting) but due to the weather, no one ended up jumping. On the way out, the field where everyone was parked was nice and muddy, I think 10 cars\mini-van's\SUV's where stuck, so I stopped to help them all. Had one guy in an F150 towing people out, but he was spinning pretty good as well. Think he finally got annoyed, gunned it, yanking a focus, and the focus slid into my truck, parked off to the side. So now i need a new tail lamp.
I ended up having to pull a buddy out after he slid off in the ditch yesterday, his truck is setting on 35s. I ended up with a little bit of mud on my truck...
only places theres still snow here is wherever its really shady (like the woods even then its rather thin and almost gone) or where it was piled up by the plows... everywhere else its gone...
A couple of 60 degrees days took care of everything I believe. But the further west in the state, the more snow you all got. When I went over to the airport last Monday, it was a vast difference between how much snow I saw compared to what was around here.
